All I heard before both games against LSU and now leading up to the draft is how great he is but in the 2 games I watched him play he seemed like an average rusher who's good at catching passes when nobody is within 5 yards of him. Am I way off base?

In fact, I don't think you could be further off base.

Keep in mind the two games you saw him play were against one of the best college defenses in recent memory. Only three entire teams we played last year had more net rushing yards against us than Trent did in each of his two games.

Yea your the only 1. He was way more impressive than Ingram was during his heisman season. Hes one of the better backs to come out in recent years

That depends. Here's a simple test:

Question #1: Are you impressed with Trent Richardson?

If the answer to Question #1 is "no", then, yes, you are the only one not impressed with Trent Richardson.

Yeah you are leaving out the fact that the only defense in the same universe as is or better was Alabama, that maybe is why you think he looked "unimpressive". I was impressed with him in both games, now ESPN blew loads because yes he did catch some passes in the open and got a ton of yards but he ran hard as frick between the tackles and earned his yards.

Nope - I'm not impressed with him or Ingram. But then again, I hate all things Alaf------bama.

I thought his pro day would have been better.

Absolutely agree. I tried and tried to explain to my non-SEC friends up here that there was plenty of offense in that first game. Like watching the Bama OL execute tremendous blocks, and Trent Richardson explode into the hole, and make two or three tremendous moves and break a tackle . . . for a 2 yard gain. Against our defense, that's great offense.

IMO your way off base. Dude is a beast. If you don't hit him before his 3rd step it takes a whole lot to get him down. Along with that he has the speed to take it to the house and better than average hands. Also he does not fumble and is not injury prone. Only RB I would take in 1st round.
