Of course it's subjective, there's no official formula for this sort of thing, every single type of this thing ever is going to have flaws.
But all in all I think this one is pretty solid, I mean, is it really a big surprise that these fancy metric tell you the most successful programs have been Alabama, USC, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, etc.

One thing to also mention is that this particular website uses the official results, so things like forfeits and win vacates ARE taken into account.
Other sites I've seen run these metrics don't care about them and use the on the field results.

LSU also gets 4 though - 1908, 58, 2003, 07. Remember too that an AP/BCS/Coaches title is worth 50 points, while something else (1938 and 50 for UT, 1908 for LSU) are only worth 15 points.
So, some National Titles are more important than others? That seems a bit retarted.

That website recognizes 14 of Alabama's 15 titles (excludes 1941 of course).
It recognizes 4 LSU titles, when LSU only claims 3. It gives them credit for 1908 which they strangely don't officially claim.

Well, for the better part of the last century the AP and Coaches poll were considered the two "major" polls.
By the 1970's nobody was claiming anything BUT those two.

It recognizes 3 for Auburn: 1913, 1957, and 2010. I wish AU would go ahead and claim 1913. That was a very good team.

They were unstoppable. I watched highlight videos from that season a few days ago and I've never seen anything like that team.

I have always felt that CFB criteria is legit.
When I started looking at it a decade ago, LSU was 14 I think. As I look at the list, it's hard to argue with a lot.

Didn't they get stripped of the 1913 title? Something about illegal rides in horseless carriages while drinkin chock with a bushwacker named Buckskin.

I'm of the opinion LSU should claim 1908 and Auburn should claim 1913, when you're talking titles that old they're hard to get a handle on, however plenty of other schools claim titles from that era. Heck, the vast majority of Michigan's claims are super old ones.
Most schools tend to claim as many as they can. People like to mock Alabama but really they only claim one BS one (1941).

The worst offenders are Michigan and Pittsburgh.

That site takes into account, and credits equally "accomplishment" Pre-WWII. LSU was the most feared program in the 90s, no one wanted to play them. LSU wasn't the last new SEC-W team to make it to the SEC-CG.

Had Arky been in SEC all those years rather than Private School League. they would be ahead of only Aggies, Vandy, State and Mizzou.

Give the Oklahoma Sooners credit, they only claim the 7 AP/UPI-BCS titles they were awarded.
