Both the best all time in their sport. More important they are both in the SEC.

Rupp wanted to play guys who had graduated early. They wouldn't let him so he refused to play in the NIT. Under today's rules those players were eligible.

Bama has more titles and is the consensus greatest program in the history of the sport. Kentucky makes the tournament a lot and beats up on a bad basketball conference.

Kentucky has more titles, we just don't count the Helms or early NIT towards our total like lesser programs do. Good Lord you guys really know dick.

If we got our titles the way Alabama has theirs we would have upwards of 30 or 40. That's the difference between the two.

Bama final #1 finishes in the AP or Coaches: 11
UK final #1 finishes in the AP or Coaches: 10
So nope.

Please explain how you have 16 titles then.
Posted on 2/23/16 at 6:31 pm to UKWildcats
Not until you explain how 10 is somehow greater than 11.

I'm sorry if you have trouble with the addition of whole numbers. Might want to take that up with your 1st grade teacher.
11>10

Well because in basketball the final AP poll has always come out after the postseason tournament whereas in football it's done at the end of the regular season, before bowl games. So like I said if we just quit on March 1st, we would be much much higher. So again, you can answer my question now.

Kentucky fans are the only college basketball fans who consider Kentucky the greatest in the history of the sport.

Oh look, the Bama fan that cries about Cal in every basketball thread.
Shocked that you're throwing a fit.

And in those days when the AP poll was done before bowls the bowls were treated like the NIT is today. It was an exhibition game negotiated by the coaches to either play an interesting matchup, play a friend or play a team that they thought they could beat for a good payday or prominence.

This is an interesting game thread.
Kings of football vs Kings of basketball

The point is basketball has always had a clearly defined champion whereas football continues its arse backwards money grab ways to decide one. Still. In 2016.

No one disputes UK's 8 basketball tournament championships.
No one disputes Bama's 1 football tournament championship.

Clearly you've researched the subject thoroughly. Stick to football or better just don't post. What a dumbass.
