Except Rupp was implicated for knowingly playing ineligible players.

????

Rupp did not accept the NCAA bid because his seniors were deemed ineligible after the fact. Keep in mind these kids were older because there had been a war going on and kids did not start college till 46 and 47 as they were being released from the armed services. Not exactly a normal run of events as World Wars have not occupied a great slice of the timeline of college sports.

I think it is much easier to get elite quickly

If elite football is limited to maybe 6 to 12 teams it is easier for the rich to stay richer. In basketball is easier for many more teams to compete as the entry cost is so much lower.

You obviously have reading comprehension issues.....the earlier poll and statistical info was cited in page four of this thread.

And then we countered with our stats, proving our place as higher in college basketball than Bama in college football. You proceeded to cite a fan poll to further your argument. Now that your caught up, perhaps you could worry less about my "comprehension issues" and more about finding further statistical data to bolster your claim that didn't come from some 12 yr old child's vote or admit UK's basketball program is better than Alabama's football program. K?

The only real relevant stat that I saw was UCLA's 11 national championships....to 8 for Uk.... I'm sorry you can't comprehend that when speaking of the best in anything ....it's usually simply a matter of opinion.....your so called "facts" are laughable

What makes the team the best in the country? Well IMO it's quite simple national championships. If you win that game you are the best. That is the measuring stick. 16, 11, 10 whatever the frick you want to put there, Bama is still the best. Period.

Hardware? It's difficult to argue with you guys. You keep switching the unit we're measuring our dicks by?

You're the one who moved the goalposts first.
