this will take a long time to fade away. MIZZOU fans will always hate kansas. It will take generations of fans forgetting about these rivalries. Think if Auburn and Alabama were somehow separated from each other, the hatred would never die. never.

Fair enough, it's just one of many things I have yet to figure out.

If something about A&M is not readily understandable, then you're better off not wasting your time.

Very few things are readily understandable to piggies.

Send the Yellow Jackets to a watery grave!

Remember the Rose Bowl, we'll win then!

I think Texas's football team was referred to as just "varsity" back then. They were the longhorns, yes, but I don't think their team was called that.

If I'm mistaken, the other alternative is that Texas had a varsity team and a subordinate team (I.e. junior varsity). And we played the varsity team.

The A&M yearbook was originally called the "Longhorn". The cow's name was Varsity until 13-0 happened.

Sometimes that would be for the best IMO. If we could only keep one permanent I would pick Georgia.

Oh yeah, to hell with the Longhorns!

Pigmus..honest question. If you hate it so much in College Station (at least 50 posts on how much you hate it there), why don't you move?

Surely you can find a job somehwhere else or are your job skills so bad that you can't find anything else? If so, get off the internetz and get some skills.

Bevo was not always named Bevo. The mascot used to be named Varsity thus, saw Varsity's horns of ... yes Varsity did have horn.

they were just called the "varsity" football team of UT. Our yearbook has forever been known as "The Longhorn", and the tsips stole the name.

He is smart enough to do graduate work at A&M, but too prideful to admit College Station is better than Bumfrick, Arkansas.

That probably isn't a good idea either!

People who say that Texas doesn't give 2 shits about A&M are either A) someone who doesn't live in Texas or B) Someone who stopped watching football in 2005. Texas absolutely loathes us, and even moreso now that we are relatively more successful.

you suck at "understanding" then. but your comprehension skills are not relevant to this issue; which is texas a&m keeps their tradition because they choose to and they themselves understand the meaning of the words so everyone else can go frick themselves. fini.
