What a shame. I've really enjoyed my time in Austin. Honestly, from the friends I've made here, there's just little to no school spirit. they're all pro sports first. Hell, they didn't even really know they had that much tradition in baseball until they made their surprising omaha run. slightly arrogant in general, but nothing unbearable

Austin is the largest US city without a major pro sports franchise. A lot of them honestly treat the schools football and basketball teams like a pro sports team. It's just very different. I do like Austin though

If Direct is willing to say "no" to the Dodgers in the Los Angeles market, they are willing to say "no" to a bunch of rednecks wanting such blockbuster content as the Vanderbilt-Temple match up, the Kentucky-Mississippi State collegiate spelling bee, "Redneck Kitchen" and "Pre-Game Mud Wallerin' with Cletus and Gomer."

I'd tailgate for that shite.

yeah, it's just evident the three-headed mediocrity monster that is Mack, Rick, and Auggie have sucked the life out of their student body.

they are really optimistic about their basketball team, though wary of how overrated rick barnes is

The SEC Network vs The Longhorn Network:

SECN = State of the art, latest and greatest in Digital Media.

LHN = Tube television, rabbit ears for antennas and broadcasted in black and white.

Deep down they know staying in the big whatever will be a disastrous move when all is said and done.

It would've been in the BCS era. It won't be in the Playoff era.

They play 9 conference games and have agreed to each get a big five member OOC game each year.

The best thing that has come from the Shaggybevo web site was this avi...

I laughed very hard at these back in the day..

Texas had so much money they made famous statutes that look horrible and the internet went wild via Shaggybevo.

It's one of the most epic threads I've ever seen and laughed so hard.

Here is the link form 2010.

they give the impression that they're too busy jerking off to pictures of money to bother noticing anyone else could be as good (or better) than them.

We've been trying to tell you this for a while now

In all fairness, "Texas" didn't make those; they were the brain child of a local bookstore.

Fantastic whoever came up with these awful things and ShaggyBevo did the rest. Days of entertainment was provided back then.

I remember when they thought they were going to put them all around campus, turned in to a huge waste of money.

I want to know what happened to them. Would be great for our tailgate if I had one of these babies.

You can thank all that oil for your endowment broseph

Yea I hate when UT and TAMU beat their chests about their endowment when most of it is from the PUF fund or whatever it's called.

Yes, I know they still have tons of money but it's in the same scope as the top schools in the SEC.

Unbelievable. What a piece of shite fanbase.

I've learned from discussions with B1G schools, when discussing SEC football, they'll mention everything but the actual sport. Academics, endownment.

Just a point of order here. The Las Vegas Metro is almost 2 million people without a pro sports franchise. That's a little less than twice as large as Austin.

So frick them, there's no reason for them to act like the assholes they do.

Carry on.
