What I was expecting:
Star Player:
P - Ben Turk 5-11 196 Sr

Ben Turk came to the Notre Dame campus with high expectations after being ranked the 3rd best High School punter in the nation. Ben quickly stepped up to the plate and has been starting for ND since midway through his Freshman year in 2009.

With more than 48 punts on the year, Ben boasts an average punt of 40.6. His longest punt is 53 yards, but he will likely have many chances to best this mark against the Crimson Tide defense.

I am not struggling to do shite. Bama fans struggle at comprehension.

ND offense playing against as formidable a schedule as most teams play has done a fine job. Those claiming it "sucks" clearly don't know shot about college football.

It isn't as good as Bama's but statistically it's not far behind. The point has been and is, that the offense isn't nearly as bad as the Gump homers believe it to be.

I've pulled for Bama in every OOC game they have ever played.

You are the one who inferred that ND didn't play scrub teams like Alabama (the inference was that Alabama was able to inflate it's stats against scrubs / weaker schedule while ND didn't have the opportunity). This is simply untrue, which you probably now realize. To your credit, you appear to have since backed off that initial point you were going with.

Fair enough on Notre Dame's offense not sucking. I don't think it sucks but I do think it is markedly inferior to Alabama's offense.

You know what they say about stats, right? Have you really watched Notre Dame play this year? Their offense has gotten better, but they really are still limited in terms of offensive fire power.

The most important stat is also scoring offense in which Notre Dame is very far behind Alabama statistically. Total offense is closer, true. So, it's apparent that Notre Dame is able to move the ball outside the red zone to some degree, but has a very tough time actually scoring, which is the goal.

Anyway, I agree with you that some people are going overboard on the ND's offense sucks talk. They have a pedestrian offense (not terrible, but probably about average) with a very good defense. To their credit they have found a way to win every game, even it was ugly at times.

I haven't backed off anything. Gumptads jumped to monumental conclusions mainly because they are extremely sensitive.

Most teams don't have an offense like Alabama's. One of the most balanced in the country which was my point. ND's isn't far behind in yds per game, and doesn't "suck."

I've watched ND play numerous times and they can easily give Alabama a game.

Their offense is better than LSU's.

When they dont score 10 points on us, can we say their offense sucks?
