I'll never understand why some of you go to such great lengths to explain to people that care about a sport that nobody else cares about a sport.

If you don't care, why do you give a frick if somebody else likes it or not?

College Baseball is not a sport where your athletic department or school will get national respect from.

i don't care what people choose to like/dislike. however, it seems like these threads are always started by someone telling us how no one cares about it, though, not why people should care about it. or people who bitch about college baseball threads as if it ruined their day.

Not the schools or an effort would be made to make the sport relevant.

Football
Men's Basketball
Women's Basketball

That is the big3, everything else is a secondary sport.

You know that at Arkansas college baseball is a lot more popular than women's basketball. come on now. Pretty sure our average attendance was the highest that they had all year

I never said it wasn't.

However, the Women's Head Basketball coach, going into his first year as a HC on any level, is being paid more than the College Baseball coach who many consider to be on of the best in the game.

What that shows is the school and athletic department see Women's basketball as a great avenue in generating revenue and exposure for the school.

You would think a producer would know what a chart is.

From a school's point of view maybe women's basketball is more popular but from a fan's point of view, a large portion of the SEC attends college baseball over it. There is a reason the conference has all top 5 of the attendance leaders every year

incorrect.

Paul Mainieri - 750k
Nikki Caldwell - 700k

UCLA also just gave their baseball coach an extension at 1.125 million a year before this season.

Nope. Was actually decent. Not a great player but far from being bad. Played first base most of the time because I'm left handed. There was just way too much standing/sitting around. Only sport I got bored playing.
