I was thinking Shon played on and off in 2014. I could be totally wrong. Not trying to flame the kid or AU at all.

ETA I would say Cam Newton worked out pretty well

He was class of 2007. If I add him I have to expand the list to the last 6 years for everyone and I'm too tired for that shite haha.

Trey Williams 12: undetermined: nothing special so far, in and out of the starting lineup

He actually declared for the pro. I don't think "bust" is fair because I don't agree with the way we utilized him. He was pretty rough in pass pro but he always did special things when the ball was in his hands.

I could see him being a good pro in the right situation if somebody gives him a chance

Help me out here. He has been a decent college player, not a star....injured a lot. Every draft projection I see has him 7th-FA.

Lots of sacks, he blocked 3 kicks this year. He lives in the backfield. And the most impressive part is he was doing it as a defensive lineman in a 3-4, not as a true DE. DE on paper only. In the defense designed for the linebacker to get the sacks, he was splitting them rushing the middle from the los.

In the NFL he could clearly play either role. Big enough to plug holes, shifty enough to get after the quarterback. Always gets great push, very disruptive defensive lineman.

It's hard to judge a defensive lineman you haven't watched alot of, I understand that. You really only have stats to look at. Ask anyone that has paid attention to Georgia football and they'll tell you he was great, and I'd say he was the best defensive lineman we've had in a long time. Better than Garrison Smith, better than John Jenkins.

I'm not calling you names, I'm just telling you that you are wrong about Ray Drew.

Star Jackson

I remember when he got to Alabama. He was a highly recruited 4-star QB out of Florida. Many Alabama fans thought he was the next JaMarcus Russell and would easily supplant John Parker Wilson as the starting QB in his true freshman year.

What damn fools we were.

Any legit reason you left of Cam Newton or Carl Lawson?

eta: Duke Williams and Montravious Adams

The last player that had his skillset at A&M was one Dante Hall.

Here were Hall's FR-JR year stats:

469 carries for 2639 yards and 20 TD (5.62 ypc)
17 catches for 201 yards
67 punt returns for 809 yards and 2 TD
29 kick returns for 652 yards

582 touches for 4301 yards and 22 TD

Trey Williams career stats

204 carries for 1343 yards and 18 TD (6.58 ypc)
38 catches for 330 yards and 1 TD
70 kick returns for 1684 yards

312 touches for 3357 yards and 19 TD

Why wouldn't you use 247sports' composite rankings that average all of the recruiting sites rankings? Seems like that would provide a more thorough look.

I would call Trent Richardson a bust at this point. Great college career but NFL work aint gonna last very long and then he will have to depend on that Bama education he got...

NFL bust based on his 1st round selection? Absolutely. But this is a list to evaluate college careers, how well their colleges developed them and whether a 5 star ranking translated into a high draft pick for these kids. There is no way you can say that Rivals "messed up" by giving Trent 5 stars when he was a college star, Heisman candidate, and #3 overall pick. If you want to make a list of SEC 1st rounders and their NFL success, feel free.

IMO, if he finished out his career at Auburn he would have been a top three round draft pick, but he screwed that up.

Very likely.

He's a senior correct? I have seen him around the 4th round in most projections. Needs a good combine.

Did not realize he declared early. If he is leaving after his junior season with the stats he has, and the draft projection he has, I gotta call the kid a bust.

Very well...I could be wrong. If he is that good he should get drafted high then. I'm just not seeing any high draft projections for him.

Clowney had one decent season and one great season. Then he was lack luster, whether that be for lack of effort or the fact he was always double teamed. I'd definitely say he was a boom, but he was no Lattimore. Plus he seems injury prone. Not like Lattimore injuries, like his tummy hurts injuries. Idk.

All I know is our defense has sucked arse without him (and some
Others of course). So that's gotta mean something.
