-Bama - Bama gonna Bama. They'll be more than fine. Their DL is never going to be the anchor of their defense, and they rotate so many guys you're never going to have a total lack of experience and a lack of talent is obviously never going to be the case. I still think the one thing they're missing is a dominant passrusher, but they won't be facing many elite QBs in the SEC so they can mask this.
Wait for the Hubbard/Devall/Allen/Dickson express to rush QBs, coming this fall.

last time LSU fielded a young defense we went 12-0
we have no way of knowing if players like TM7 are waiting to step on the field

LSU returned a lot in '11 even though they were young as you say. You lost 4 starters and Pepe was a quasi starter.

According to your link Louisville and TCU should be pretty stout.
Should both be pretty beastly.

Quick question, and it's semi-related. What are your thoughts on Bama only returning two OL and their BCS title chances? I have a point that I'd like to make in a civil discussion.

Civilly speaking not too many 3 loss teams make the NC game, but if a there is a chance of a 3 loss team making it, it would be Bama.

Expect a good game with us next year and hopefully it matters bc it looks like OSU will walk right into it so it needs to be you or us to finish it. Oh and frick ATM.

When has Chavis had a bad defense at LSU? Bad defense at all for that matter.

Regress? For Florida, I don't think that will be as much of a concern. They did lose some good talent, sure, but they also have some guys who have had experience (Roberson, Purifoy, etc.)

Is the SEC poised for a bit of regression defensively this year? LSU and Bama are going to be inexperienced on the dline, there is definitely a lack of experienced lockdown corners (see below), and a lot of the traditionally strong defenses aren't returning a lot of tackles.

About the only thing you'll see differently about the SEC next year will be improvement in the bottom third of the league (Auburn, Ole Miss, Tenn., Vandy, etc.) That means that now probably a dozen SEC teams could kick the shite out of 99% of the remaining D-1 programs.

I am asking if you think the league will regress overall defensively.
Auburn wont regress unless they play with 8 players instead of 11...and that is debatable.
