What do you Arkansas fans think about this? Is he worth nearly half a million dollars???

That's a lot of money to pay someone that isn't actually coordinating anything much at all.

Yeah....losing Tebow, Harvin, etc. had nothing to do with it either.

As of late I do it as a friendly jab at the msu fans. But really I like him because he motivates a less talented team to do less with more, puts fire in their belly, runs a disciplined program, and they play hard/smart.

UGA is the exact opposite and y'all know that. I wanted harbaugh but that'd never happen. Now I would want Patterson, Mullen, of Strong.

NGtiger, gator, what y'all suggest? No other fans say who they'd hate for us to hire, just that Mullen sucks

If you have to ask, you already know the answer.

I don't follow many other programs outside of the SEC, so unfortunately I couldn't tell you. I'm just not as impressed or enamored by anything he's done so far. I think you're better off with what you've got right now, and would be taking a step back if you swapped coaches.

What a dumb arse post. There's obviously more to our demise on offense than Mullen leaving. It's called Tebow, Harvin, Murphy, Hernandez, Caldwell, Baker, and numerous other standout play makers on offense that are now playing in the league. I haven't even mentioned making Addazio the OC that was the demise of Meyer's coaching career at UF.

He's the best OC in the conference...he should make more than any other OC.

I agree with this. I remember when we(Ark fans) got clowned for hiring Malzahn out of HS.

You think recruiting against UF is hard now, hire Mullen and see what happens. Also, he's a smug prick that's very difficult to get along with. Meyer wouldn't let him attend banquets with boosters after his 1st year on campus, nor would he let him recruit big time prospects. Hell, Meyer didn't even let Dan off campus for recruiting.

Seeing how UF went 13-1 even after Mullen left, I would venture to say you're right.

Quality response. I'd say a majority of dawg fans agree. I just am tired of feeling like we are stationary with our wheels spinning. We may not fall back too far but we aren't going to be satiated by an occasional sugar bowl. We want titles too. Now that AU won one we are now the last of the guys who doesn't have a recent title. It's time for our passive Ath dept to shell out the copious amounts of cash they have been hoarding to create an elite program

I think your fanbase is where AUs was in 2007/8. 50/50 split on wanting some new leadership. I hope Richt can get it turned around because he's always been one of my favorites in the SEC.

ok. And Florida went 13-1 the year after Mullen left. What did they do after Tebow left?

Deductive reasoning says that Florida was effected far more with the departure of Tebow than Mullen.

DGD

I will give you one glaring example why UGA will not bring in a top tier coach.

Muschamp who have never been a HC is getting just 100K less than Richt who will be in his 11th season.

UGA has a rep on not paying top dollar for their coaches.

Interesting. I mean truth be told I want our next coach to be an arse hole. I want a control freak/arse hat like saban. But if Mullen is that difficult, even if he is quality, I doubt UGA would hire him. Adams loves having people he can control from what I see.

That being said from what all I hear, which means nothing really, Mullen is on the list for next guy. One dude on the DR said UGA actually talked to mullens agent or w/e seeing what would be required down the road to get him

Grantham is worth every penny. I guess we should've just completely written off Saban/Smart after their first year in 2007 as well. Since that would be the logical thing to do and all.
