and lost to 5 mediocre teams with that same talent

Uh. No. He's not the defensive coach. His offense was performing well all season.

Auburn should've reasonably made the list if Louisville and OK state are on it.

Louisville and Okie State don't play in the SEC West.

So when he manages to lead an offense that beats your Tigers this November, what will that say about your staff that you got beat by a "laughing stock"? I love these LSU predictions and how often they are wrong.

If Bama wins this year, it won't be because of your offense. Just like last year. Your offense looked like dog shite. It was just very slightly better than ours.

Face the facts. You have a shite QB and now you have a shite OC to go with him. Good luck. Lol lol lol lol!!!!!

Were we in the SECw in 2010 or 2013? We have navigated our way through our canibalizing conference before. The two mentioned teams don't have the pieces to win a playoff whether they win the conference or not.

So credit given for the wins but he had nothing to do with the losses. Got it.

You mean like how Bama was heavily favored over Clemson?

Was that an LSU prediction? No. I mean predictions made by LSU fans that are more often than not proven wrong.

* LSU should've beaten Bama by more in 2011. It won't be close on 1/9/12 (you guys kinda got that one right, just backwards).
* 5 for 5
* LF will win a Heisman at LSU
* Brandon Harris is much improved as a QB. LSU finna eat.
* All the predictions around the infamous "4 year title cycle"
* Cam Cameron
* LF gonna show this Bama D is over-rated (2x)
* Bama will lose 4 games this year.
* Can't win the SEC with a FR QB and that Bama schedule
* Lane Kiffin will be a disaster at Bama

The list goes on and on. I hope you guys never get tired of putting yourselves out there. It makes this place fun.

Stidham alone won't fix Auburns problems

They would have fixed AUs problems last year. Remember:

Clemson: 4 QBs and still a hail mary away.
TX A&M: White threw for 128 yards. Againt A&Ms Defense.
UGA: White threw for 27 yards. Zero first downs in the second half and lost by 6 points.
UA: White did not play. JJ had 34 yards passing.
OU: White hurt on second series.

If Auburn has Stidham last year what is their record and which of those games do they win?

Which SEC teams have a sure fire QB going into the 2017 season?

I don't know who starts at A&M in 2017, so I'll leave them out, but I would literally take every other West QB over Etling if given the choice. Stidham, Allen, Patterson, Fitz, Hurts. I'd take any of them on my team before I'd pick Etling.

It depends on what you mean by "sure fire" but a few teams have QBs good enough to get the job done. The problem is the other position groups may not be there.

Auburn should have reasonably beat Clemson, TAMU, and UGA with Stidham in those games.

Bama game there is no telling, but it would have definitely been a better game.

OU who knows. We moved the ball well on them when our QB didn't have a broken arm.

Teams put 9 in the box when they figured out that AU couldn't pass. Amazing that Pettway ran for over 1000 yards.

He, like LSU's backs, ran for a bunch of yards against teams that couldn't tackle.

123 (6.2 YPA) vs Texas A&M (66th YPA against)
169 (4.3 YPA) vs Mississippi State (80th YPA against)
192 (7.1 YPA) vs Arkansas (126th YPA against)
236 (7.9 YPA) vs Ole Miss (120th YPA against)
173 (6.9 YPA) vs Vanderbilt (71st YPA against)
101 (4.2 YPA) vs Oklahoma (68th YPA against)

61 (3.6 YPA) vs LSU (8th YPA against)
17 (1.4 YPA) vs Alabama (1st YPA against)

Those games that he did his best were when we could throw decent on third down. The OU and Bama he was still hurt to some degree.

With a passing game he clearly would have been better against better defenses. I guess my overall point was we don't really know. His superman efforts were against abysmal run defenses. And, against superman defenses, he was pretty average (however, like you said, he was also injured).

Next year should be interesting.
