1. The Iron Bowl

2. The Iron Bowl

3. The Iron Bowl

If you poison "famous trees" it becomes a rivalry.

4. Georgia-South Carolina

Series overall record 47-17-2 Georgia leads by a little.

5. The Egg Bowl

The truth is nobody outside the state of Mississippi refers to this as a rivalry game. You have two teams from the "dominant SEC West" who are perennial 6th and 7th place finishers who have to create a "Egg Bowl" to remain relevant.

You missed "Third Saturday in October", so irrelevant it is no longer the Third Saturday in October main stay.

Where does Bama fans dropping nuts on LSU fans in Krystals rate that rivalry then? I mean trees are one thing but scrotum-to-eye socket is just mean.

um, yes they do. no one in the country recognizes it as one of the best rivalries in college football, but no one in the sec does either. i know this is a troll but it's one of the oldest rivalries in the sec. and no, they didn't create the egg to remain relevant. that trophy has been around since the 20s, outdating the conference itself

This is why it's time to move when Yankees move next door.

i also think overhyped is the wrong word to use when describing the third saturday in october. it's not been hyped much at all lately. it's just been irrelevant since saban's arrival. however, historically, it's actually underrated IMO, as in too many younger fans don't understand how big that game was up until about 2007. if and when tennessee gets back to respectability, that game will garner the attention it received in the past.

Propose to rename it the "Battle for Bowl Eligibility" game. Traditionally the winner becomes bowl eligible in the final game of the season, and the looser waits until next season to play for bowl eligibility again.

It's so cute that Mizzou gets to play in the east where they don't have to worry about the other 6 teams in their division skull fricking them on an annual basis.
we were playing the Egg Bowl prior to y'all even playing football so suck our nuts. Can't wait for y'all to cycle on to our schedule so we can pound your asses back into oblivion.

Tennessee & Bama. Nobody gives a shite about this rivalry but Tennessee because they get put on a national stage.
