You guys need to go to 40/29 News's facebook page and read the comments in response to that ruling.
Some people in this state are so fricking embarrassingly ignorant

Instill think it will be a while until this is actually allowed in Arkansas. There will be appeals, appeals, appeals.....etc.

Since its a ruling against a state law, the state is the appellant. AG McDaniel already said he agrees with gay marriage. He is responsible for the appeals. It might not take all that long.
He will appeal, but he won't make it his personal mission to make the law stick.

Someone will make it their personal mission, which will influence McDaniel.
Our state is still majority Christian. McDaniel might say one thing just to keep certain people off his arse, but I would imagine he doesn't want any part of this either way and will attempt to drag this out as long as he can to avoid confrontation either way.

Maybe, but he's already damaged goods politically and he knows it. The whole other scandal doomed him, so he doesn't have a lot to lose at this point.
Governor Beebe is on record as not favoring gay marriage.

Thanks. I didn't see it for a bit but then it appeared.
For those that remember this case has some resemblance to the creation science case Steve Clark had to defend as AG years ago where a defense had to be provided for a law the AG in office believed to be unconstitutional.
This law and the numerous other state laws like it will end up before the US Supreme Court and at least as to federal constitutional grounds will be decided there.

Gays don't realize what is about to happen to their lives now. Introduce lawyers, courts, alimony, half of everything.
Congrats on having to deal with what us straight folks have had to endure for years.

Exactly, if gay people want to get married and be miserable for the rest of their lives than I say let them!
