Anyone but Nuss. I got chastised on this very board for calling out that fricking pea brain last year. But our scoring has gone up with Nuss!!!11!
Nuss has more talent to work with than anyone in the country. He is in way over his head. The dude calls plays at random backed up by nothing. There is no reasoning behind him calling a play. It's pick a play and see if my more talented lineup can beat you at it. Safety crashing the run on 1st and 10? Let's pay action post next time. Safeties deep on third and 3? Let's run next time. Blitzing in second and 7? Let's throw a screen next time
Nuss doesn't think that way. Every play is a random call with a simple design, and it has been since we hired him. He has gotten away with it due to superior talent.
Nuss was hired because he is committed (at the time) to what Saban loves. Balance. Balance without reason is worthless. If you run it 30 times and pass it 30 times without a thought process then it doesn't work. The main problem however is the physical X and O design of the passing plays. It's the same set of routes over and over.

This thread has nothing to do with our seniors. They've played valiantly for 4 years. I feel bad for them that their new offensive coordinator has hindered their growth as football players and has cost them football games.

Everyone remember that it was Nuss' crap playcalling that cost us the A&M game last year.
He's wasted a shitload of talent and he playcalling is so random that it's predictable....if that makes any sense.
