I thought this was about his off the field stuff so I wasn't going to post that b.s. (we've been through that 1k times - leave the kid alone, we all make mistakes) but this has to do with on the field performance.

Can't believe he was the 12th ranked QB in the SEC (out of 14) there were some real stinkers ranked above him. I thought he played better than that ranking. AJ was #1 and I thought they were pretty equal when LSU played Bama (except for the final drive). Did he not play as well in other games?

He was hyped up way too much for someone who's only experience at the SEC level was a spring game at UGA.

He was a humongous improvement over Jefferson as far as passing, but didn't put up the best stats because the coaches only let him really sling it in the Bama game and after. (Ignoring the abortion of the bowl game)

Do many people outside of the SEC really even know who he is? (not flaming) Just seems like even if the country had heard of him it's about 100 times less than JFF.

That's a pretty high standard. I think JFF, AJ, Lacy and Clowney were household names by the end of the year but that's only 4 players in the entire SEC.

Mett and Murray were in the same class. Murray's first year looked alot like Mett's first year. Shitty.

Mett could be dangerous next year.

How much eligibility does he have left?

I think they both redshirted at UGA, so i think they both only have one year left. Both have had their highs and lows. Both were seconds away from defeating Bama and probably playing for a BSC trophy agains ND (which would have been a sure thing for either).

So Mett has 1 year to prove to the world he is a 1st class quarterback, and maybe go to the NFL?

What is his major at LSU? For a fallback?

true. Manziel really did overshadow the other first year starters. I didn't see Mett or Wilson in the media nearly as much as JFF, McCarron, or Murray. Most of that is just due to LSU's offense and our shitty season I guess. Only time I remember seeing much of TW was when he called out the team after the Bama game.

No, it didn't.

The rest of the team looked like shite. Murray had a good freshman year. More consistent than Mett last season, anyway.

Mett was playing the game of his life, AJ had freshly broken ribs, and his two top WRs were hurt.

TW is the truth. If whatever team that drafts him can keep his egg from getting cracked, he will be a top tier NFL QB. It's shameful what happened his Senor year (the first loss (after he was knocked out) was kinda just the last straw in a horrible hand). Feel as though he and Kniles (sp?) the RB deserved better (but I guess that's life). Arky looks like they hired a good coach though.

Mett was impressive in that game though.

I'm entirely positive that no SEC team had more drops than LSU. His WRs were flat out terrible some games. He deserves some criticism sure, but the OL and WR corps were just bad at times.

Yep. I think they played hard for us even though the season went badly. I was pretty bummed about how it went because it just seemed to be one shitty thing after another. Glad we were able to make a good hire now. Hopefully TW gets drafted high and puts some money in his pocket. He deserves it (and a better blocking oline ).

I agree. He's talented, but he needs receivers to step up and not drop the short passes. The long ball needs to quit being overthrown also

He wasn't very good. Not sure why expectations are very high for him based on how he performed last season.

It's a shame Odell Beckham just fumbled the ball after a beautiful pass. Also a shame our defense, who played lights out, shite the bed on the last drive against Alabama. Or that our defense couldn't stop a damn team with their arse backed up to the wall from gaining 17 yards. It really is a shame because Mett would be the QB of an undefeated NC team right now.

Yeah you could really tell on that 10 yard run to the endzone before half when you were guys were rolling us 14-3. I guess Saban reminded him at halftime he was supposed to be playing hurt.
