I'm guessing both schools have enough political clout to not let that pass. They aren't gonna let the legislature dictate the football schedule, no matter what the reasons for it are.

At this point, I dont want to play kansas anymore. Tired of asking them and tired of people bringing it up. Honestly they can just go to hell. I am sure the Aggies feel the same about Texas.

Nonissue. Some nobody rep is trying to get some ink while asserting himself as the consumate Texan.

This will probably be the last we hear of it.

ETA: Dude's an Ag? frick him.

I'd like to play them because I enjoy the game and the rivalry. Games like that are what make college football special. But I think this bill is retarded.

Honestly, with the excitement of the move in conferences, we don't need that game. I do want it, and I think anyone on either side saying they don't is letting their emotions overcome what's great about college football. It's just we don't need it and they have been massive vaginas, really just their AD, for so long that I'd rather not deal with them. Once Deloss Dodds croaks, I'd approach them again about playing. But until then, frick em.

The Horns are in our rear-view mirror. frick 'em. The vast majority of Ags have moved on.

I would rather develop rivalries with the likes of the Gumps and Swamp Tards.

Also, I'm sure we'll rekindle our old rivalry with Arkansas once they become competitive in sports again.

I don't know any Ags that support the bill. Many would like to play Texas but not because the Leg forced it to happen. Tuck Fexas.

Personally, I want to fill that game with LSU on thanksgiving and not play Texas again.

But I also have a belief that anytime you have decisions such as this which neither of the rivals want, you go ahead and do it since it makes whatever they have to do together that much more hateful. So eh.

You're promoting science in the classroom? You must be a Democrat.

One of college football's greatest rivalries

Isn't the all-time record a little lopsided for it to be "one of the greatest"?

Though the Longhorns lead the series overall, the series has been much closer since 1965 (when Texas A&M dropped compulsory participation in the Corps of Cadets). Since that time, the Aggies have accumulated 20 wins to 27 losses. During the last 40 meetings (from 1972—when the NCAA introduced scholarship limitations—to the present), the series is nearly even at 19–21. The Aggies best years in recent times were from 1984 to 1994 when the Aggies won 10 out of 11 games.
