Would it really be?

If anything an Aggie Representative using governmental power to force Dodd's hand proves Texas's "the rivalry is one-sided" narrative more than anything.

The best revenge is living well. Like a Heisman winner. Or maybe a MNC or SEC title sometime in the next five years.

Again, you are taking my meaning out of context. I would find it hilarious, comical, and highly entertaining if they HAD to play us. Why? Because it would be a slap at Dodds!

That is not at all how that quote I copied came off. Regardless of how you meant it, cardboardboxer is correct when he says that forcing them through legislation pushed by an Aggie graduate only strengthens Dodd's narrative that we need them.

If the game is to resume it is in the best interest of Texas A&M if they have to agree to play the game and not be forced. If that means it is 10 years from now after Dodds is gone, so be it, but this does nothing to help Texas A&M ...nothing at all.

Don't lecture me. I told you that you took my context wrong, that should be good enough.

To be honest I would rather be playing teams like USC, ND, Michigan, Oregon, Ohio State and FSU over Texas. They will always be there when Texas decides to stop being a bitch then we can play, until then I would rather branch out and play some traditional power house teams and broaden our recruiting.

Actually I took it totally within the context it was given, no additions, deletions, or alterations. If your meaning was that it would be a slam on Dodds then you may want to think about including that in your original statement next time cause everyone on here took it to mean the same thing I did.

Or how about Bama, LSU, Florida, etc.

We have enough on our plate.

So after I cleared up my intent for you, you still want to argue about what I meant. In other words, you are just wanting to be a dick now. Nice.

you need one solid OOC opponent every year... almost everyone does. Think of it this way, your school is doing you a disservice by playing some patsy OOC team instead of a game like Texas (or any other BCS-level OOC team)... it's another opportunity to see your team play in a great environment. Much better time than playing Sam Houston St, I'd imagine.

At the end of the day, all we have are the experiences and memories... 20 years from now, you guys are gonna kick yourselves for missing on the opportunity to see Johnny Football beat the Longhorns b/c you guys (the state of TX) couldn't get past petty bullsh*t.

Although I don't miss playing Texas every year, I definitely miss the Balinese Room in Galveston. The Seawall is just not the same without it.
