I know this question has been asked dozens of times but asking it again gives the chance for some of our newer members to weigh in with their experiences.

I was pretty much born an Alabama fan. My mother went to Alabama and my father has been a die hard fan since he was a young boy. I've never really known anything else. Though I remember when I was very young my grandma would try to convince me to like Notre Dame. She was a big fan of theirs originally being from the Midwest and all.

Anyways...when I went to my first Alabama game (Vanderbilt in 2000) I knew in my heart of hearts that Bama was the team for me. My dad and I yelled ourselves hoarse and I haven't looked back ever since. After four years at the Capstone I'm finally graduating in May.

My cousin and her soon to be husband were a cheerleader and WR for tulane. Went with my aunt to see them and sat in the tulane family section in 1996 in tiger stadium. I realized quickly who the good guys were

Birth. Indoctrinated by family that by majority roots for Kentucky and wasn't having any other fandom in the household.

I became an Auburn fan in Pre-School, when we had to decide which we wanted to color - an elephant or eagle. I didn't want to color a stupid, fat looking elephant, so I chose the eagle.

I kid, of course.

I do have a friend that tried to become an Auburn fan growing up. And his dad absolutely would not allow it. He threatened to ground him until he became an Alabama fan again. Why was it so bad for him to become an Auburn fan? Because "his entire family had been Alabama fans since birth." Damn, if my son wants to become an Alabama fan one day, have at it. It's his life.

As long as I can remember.

My baby pictures are 50/50 me with a loaded diaper and either an Auburn or Mizzou shirt on.

But I was full fledged Auburn by the time I was old enough to have an opinion (4 ). Growing up in Atlanta and spending all of my holidays with the Auburn side of the family I'm sure had something to do with that.

I became a GT fan when I submitted my deposit and accepted enrollment there. But I had always pulled for them against Georgia because the town I grew up in was 99.9% Georgia fans and who doesn't like to be a contrarian?

Throughout my life Auburn/Georgia has been my biggest game of the year, but attending GT obviously put that one up there with it. But for obvious reasons it's easier to be optimistic and thus fired up for the Auburn/Georgia one
