Pretty sure Richt fired his OC or DC after he was best man in his wedding.

I always liked him. It seems his schemes fizzled after he left USM somewhat, but they worked pretty well there. Then again, he had a lot of talent there as well (before you laugh, yes USM used to have damn good D talent).

If I am unable to get production on the ground against A&M with Tunsil at LT, Patterson, Conyers, Taylor and a host of other guys, and Cooper then I deserve to be fired assuming those guys are relatively healthy. There would be no excuse at that point. It'd be the most talented starting OL in Ole Miss recent history.

They used to have the best talent in Conf. USA, which allowed his talent-based schemes to work there, as well.

I'm thinking the offensive line will be ready to go when Tunsil comes back.

The offensive line should do well against a memphis team that doesn't have the talent of Bama or Florida.

But when Tunsil is in the line up it will give us the offensive line we thought we would have started the season.

Tunsil
Taylor
Conyers
Patterson
Cooper

So we will get the heart of the o-line back next season, the right tackle will have started 7 games this year. So, you are basically returning 4 starters and looking for a 5 star tackle recruit that wants to compete for the starting left tackle spot with C. Morris and A. Givens.

If we lose Chad we have the number 1 recruit QB coming in to play in a system he is already very familar with along with his brother to help teach him that system.

Quon and Core are gone, but Stringfellow, Pack and Adeboyejo return with Lodge and Jefferson. With at least 2 incoming freshmen WR looking to play immediately.

The offense could be even more impressive with the addition of a salty run game next season to go with a great QB in either Kelly or Patterson.

Ole Miss will continue to compete for the west.
