Well, I'd take any bowl over no bowl, and the Sugar Bowl a couple of years ago was a blast in that suit, however, the playoffs have definitely gutted most of the bowls. I would think, as a player, you take things week-by-week. After all, there are 12 of them, combined with an open week and 4 weeks preseason, that's 17 weeks where the post season isn't part of the equation. For most players, that's easily the focus. It's the overall stigma of the ban and penalties that's the killer. In all honesty, good players could still come to OM even in the midst of severe penalties and it's possible we could still have very successful seasons minus a bowl game or two. Ohio State did it. Now, we aren't Ohio State tradition wise, so you fill in the rest as to how this will probably go.

I agree 100%. It's time to move on. The ride is over. Get this sloppy administration out and start fresh.

I disagree. This was a witch hunt, plain and simple.

If we get a 2 year bowl ban (which the NCAA usually allows kids to transfer out without sitting a year) then I would agree.

Any senior can transfer out from our team this year with just the 1 year. If 2 year ban, then juniors can transfer out without a penalty too

Reputational hit to the program.... Are you that dumb???

When Hugh got here our program couldn't get reputatioanlly any lower. Don't be some proud frick wad. We are what we are and that is a middle tier SEC program trying to play with the big boys. The sooner you accept that the sooner youll be happy.

Turns out state fans have been right this entire time.....

frick our staff and insiders who repeatedly lied to us time and time again.

Thank goodness for lord Kennedy or else I wouldn't give a shite about OM sports anymore. (Jk I'd still watch us lose every game and get unreasonably pissed each time)

I wouldnt call going to back to back cotton bowls in 08 or 09 in the gutter. I wouldnt call being one win away from winning the West outright in 03 in the gutter. Firing Freeze means that we just have to regroup and go at it again. It's not like we have been world beaters the past 5 years. We have lost many games that we should have so to think he is the best we will ever do is wrong imo

Our fans don't want to admit it but it's not just some witch hunt. This staff actually was incoherent, sloppy, idiots. Doing ish they knew was illegal. That's the truth about it.

Freeze made dang near 5 million last year. We can afford a coach that is a great recruiter and can still win on the same level. This isn't the 90s where the good ol boys were in the way of our success.

Semi serious question: what if we tell the ncaa to go Frick themselves? What if the sec backed us up? Seems like we could win (although I know the sec would never back us)

I'm inherently risk averse.

At this point, may as well become "that" program, if you know what I mean. We'll never win without it. The powers that be here in Dixie are far too wealthy and powerful to allow anything too far out of the ordinary to happen regularly.

frick it. Why not.

We should have told the NCAA to frick off two years ago.

Full disclosure and cooperation is never the best course of action, even if you're spotless. What do I know about cooperation and disclosure anyways lol

After this whole ordeal you would think our staff would be 1000x better at cheating. They should know what to do and not to do and how to deal with the NCAA. Unfortunately they will probably all be fired

We should cheat like hell. Also, if we have to pay the NCAA, may it be in pennies, or better yet, Zimbabwean dollars.

Unless I'm completely wrong the hire of Freeze was pretty much made by Archie. Whether you want to admit it or not the good ol boys are still running the program behind closed doors. And before you accuse me of dissing Archie, I've met the man several times and too me he is salt of the earth. But the good ol boy system is still in place and I hate to admit I think he's apart of it.
