frick the NCAA and their selective bullshite penelties. Not saying we are innocent but damn it's frustrating to go through this knowing 100% of schools do the same thing.

^^^ I'd really, really like to know how much of that is true, but right now it's just us. That's all that matters.

Fire Hugh and maybe even Bjork if that's what the NCAA needs and move the frick on..

Drive through the parking lot at every football practice facility full of Cameros chargers tahoes etc and you'll know your answer.
ETA they go easy on the cash cows and drop the hammer on the smaller markets. You think they would have taken this long or dug this deep for bama? Wikileaks where you at. Can I get an NCAA probe

We might not have a choice - may have the dreaded "show cause"

All this happened under his watch. The university will lose millions of dollars because of his actions (or inactions, however you want to look at it), not too mention the reputational hit to the program and university. I'm sorry but he has to go. When major corporations get hit, it's the CEO that has to go whether he's directly responsible or not. Just look at the recent Wells Fargo case and how Jon Stumpf got shown the door.
It sucks because Hughs probably a pretty good guy, but that's business

We need to invoke the nuclear option and bring all these other bastards down with us. It's bullshite that the NCAA gets away with all this. Yes we are guilty but so are these other schools that ratted on us

Boo hoo. It is sunk cost at this point. If you think keeping Freeze is best for the program you keep him. If you think otherwise then fire him.
As for the outrage, I know for a fact that boosters gave inducements when I was there during Cutcliffe years. It has always happened and always will. You just try to keep it in control.

Im so glad we are paying Freeze $4.5 mil a year to shaft us out of $7 million of SEC money. That freaker should take a pay cut if we keep him
Posted on 2/22/17 at 6:27 pm to olemiss5931
Freeze's program has made OM a better money maker than any other coach.
Posted on 2/22/17 at 6:33 pm to GnashRebel
At what costs though? If this puts us in the gutter for 5 or so years was it worth it?
Posted on 2/22/17 at 6:47 pm to olemiss5931
We just need to produce on the field. If the show cause him fire him if not keep him.
Posted on 2/22/17 at 6:49 pm to olemiss5931
I'm not firmly defending Freeze by any means, because he is clearly at fault for a lot of this. With that said, if anyone should be fired, it should be Bjork and Vitter. Both were pussies throughout this whole investigation with their "exemplary cooperation" bullshite. We not only sat there waiting to get gutted, but we sharpened the knife by doing nothing! It just goes to show you, if you bend over, then you will get fricked. Bjork is great fundraiser. Bjork is not a great AD. Vice Pres of Intercollegiate Athletics my arse. GTFOH

I agree with Bjork needing to get the boot. I put a lot of the blame on him. As far as VItter, I'm not sold on being mad at him yet. He kind of walked into this weird situation so I'm still on the fence about him. As long as he trends towards making us a better academic univeristy, then im cool with him

Who cares about a bowl. Playoffs have made them pointless. If we could make the playoffs I'd be pissed but I don't see it happening.
