If we don't bowl again next year, then yes, he should be considered for termination.

Freeze's big thing coming here was how we would get a full 60 minutes of effort each game. That didn't exactly happen in Vandy and Miss St. If there are performances like those next year and we don't go bowling, then I'm on the termination bandwagon. I like Freeze. I think he is great for our program, but he is not the end all be all for Ole Miss football. I'm grateful for what he did to bring us into the spotlight, but he needs to right the ship. I look at it as a big test of adversity for Hugh and company.

Remember that as of now we have the likes of Lodge, Metcalf, Brown, Jefferson, Pack, and Nixon returning to WR. Patterson throwing to them. Little has a year under his belt. Wilkins coming back. Pennamon coming back. Swinney coming back. Offense should be in pretty good shape. Even though Stringfellow has some drop issues, he is a Dad and I see him pursuing the next level.

Webster coming back. Jalen Julius with a year under his belt. Hartsfield. Deontay Anderson. Benito Jones. Can Breeland rebound? Victor Evans. Gates.

Linebacker is what absolutely most definitely is deeply concerning. If Hugh can improve that situation and get a boss DC hire...it can be alright.

He needs to get back to that message. Using a championship as motivation backfired on him badly.

He sad it every halftime, but it's the same speech every time. There is only so much Freeze can say when he can't actually make the best decision on the field.

Not surprisingly, Mullen was asked plenty about quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, who gutted Ole Miss’ defense for 258 yards and two touchdowns rushing on top of 109 and three passing.

Who did MSU have to beat out for the 6-foot-5, 230-pound QB out of Georgia? “U-T Chattanooga,” Mullen replied, exaggerating each letter before chomping on his cigar. He paused, cigar dangling from his mouth. “They’re an excellent football team,” he added. “FCS playoff team.”

Such a douche beyond comprehension....This was after the Egg Bowl I guess and I love thinking of the alternative which was his 5-year old meltdown he had after we knocked them out of the playoff picture. I think I'll watch it tonight. Remember him talking about beating Alabama in the 2nd half that year and how that basically meant they didn't lose "Alabama? We uhhh outscored them in the 4th quarter - Next question." <--- Priceless.

I hope we shitstomp them next year and I wouldn't mind someone putting a helmet to Leo Lewis's knee. Call me a horrible person.

He absolutely is. He pissed off some very powerful people when he got blown out by Florida and Memphis so much so that they wanted him fired last year. His sanctimonious attitude coupled with his terrible hiring and decision making have him on extremely thin ice. If he doesn't turn it around he will be fired after next season regardless of how many bible verses he quotes.

Maybe we have our own douches State folks hate, but no doubt Mullen and Simmons are mega douches. I literally can't even find true State folks who have anything much good to say about Mullen.

Why haven't these incredibly powerful people told him to fire Batoon? They should be more proactive

I had a Starkville business owner over for Thanksgiving dinner. I was actually shocked how he talked about Muffins. There definitely is a good number of people that really don't like him up there.

Who said they haven't? The only reason he was hired is because Freeze owed Dave Womack a favor. Yes that's right instead of rehiring our best recruiter who wanted to come back to oxford Hugh Freeze allowed his shitty defensive coordinator to dictate who we hired for defensive backs coach.

I'm just ready to hear some guys have got the boot. Our defense was historically bad. I know it's tough to fire "friends" during this time of the year. But this is the big time. Freeze needs to lay down the law.

The depth to which our defense sunk was of Biblical proportions, as they say. Not since the days of Jacob and Esau has a college football defense been so bad.

Our past defense was always suspect after Allen left but add in a Linebacker corps that this year couldn't shed a block to save their lives, couldn't figure out pursuit angles and ran from "gaps" like a flaming homosexual was just astounding. Damn it, I think LF7 just ran for another untouched 75 yard TD off the power pitch

This is another thing that worries me about Freeze. I know that he is a man of God and his personality is very soft and easy going, but right now, if he wants to keep his job, he is going to have to harden up and let a lot of people go. Wommack retiring is the start, and now Freeze to finish it off.

LB coach needs to go, DB coach needs to go for sure.

Matt Luke (OL) and Chris Kiffen (DL), as far as I'm concerned, are on the hot seat. They may not need to be fired right away, but another shite season from both of them, and I think they need to be let go.

Luke needs to go, we're a passing team and our O-line doesn't know how to pass block, shite they don't know how to run block either. We can blame that on them being banged up but we seem to go through this every year.
