We are getting a new, bigger video board, just keeping the skelton, but no that's not why it's a 3/4 bowl. It's not symmetrical because they have would have to teardown two buildings where just the demolition and replacement of those needed buildings would cost would be upwards of $20 million. What we are doing is around $40 million for the north endzone. What Boone presented was around $90 million for the north endzone and yes we can do boones plan eventually, but how about we do it when we can actually afford it or actually fill it up. And yes we were bamboozooled, but by Boone. That plan was to keep their jobs, not an actual vision. It wasn't possible.

So let me get this straight. You would rather us not do anything and wait until we can do it all at once instead of doing it in two phases so our fans base can actually grow to a size to fill a 70k seat stadium?

No being an AD doesn't mean your ideas are always best. But being an AD means you have access to information that I don't have and you certainly don't to make the best decisions. It's simply math if you actually know the numbers

The skepticism isn't in belief that we actually could do what Boone suggest. The skepticism is in what is actually being done.

If I had a vote on what we are getting and just waiting until we could afford better, personally I'd wait. I'm sure it will look nice. I'd prefer taking half of that 20 and making exterior upgrades to get some kind of uniformity between the complete stadium, keep the horseshoe look for a couple years until we are ready to enclose.

We needed to enclose it asap. The NEZ will look ten times better and we are able to finish the SEZ club because of it. Tearing down useful buildings and for a section that we wouldn't be able to fill immediately would be short sighted.

We just upgraded the aesthetics of the west side tremendously with the plaza the arena created between the stadium. Bjork knows what he is doing, which is gradually improving the stadium and keeping football fundraising high with consistent yearly improvement.

I disagree I think we could fill it if we did bowl it all the way in like the SEZ. But like you said the reason they won't bowl it in compleatly is because of the buildings right there.

They are bowling all the way, correct? Just not putting the top suites on yet.

I don't see the problem. We've known this for quite some time. It will be fine, and we can add those suites next. Some people just can help but bitch about something all the time.

Let's bowl it in and go from there. It will completely change the environment in that stadium.

We do not need to add suites in that end of the stadium anyway. Our next focus should be adding suites sideline to sideline. A nice plaza area for the Walk of Champions (banners, lighting, grass, trees, statues, plaques for M Club members) will transform what is currently there.

Not a bad idea but I think after they finish the NEZ they need to compleatly redo the press box and renovate the area under the current press box.

This is what I would like to see in the future. This would look great and be perfect size. Probably have around 70k which is all OM needs. Just make it all about aesthetics.

True. I forgot how bad the pavilion sucks because of the lighting. Our terrible arse athletic dept and it's poor decisions.

First of all, "compleatly"?

Gone are the days of a "press box". We need to tear down that box and build a brand new, all encompassing suite, club level, TV booth experience on the West side. The press should be given an area not on the 50 yard line, but more in the corner.

See what Baylor did as an example on their "home side." It's something we should be able to do. Not exactly as they did, but it should be discussed. Also think we should explore the covering they did because the sun is fierce at the Vaught.

Also, TCU's is nice AF.

I would like to see something like this too, maybe with the upper deck around the NEZ too. We definitely need to focus on quality and not quantity. Unless there is some unprecedented jump in ticket demand and attendance, we should cap our capacity at 75,000. 80,000 would be great but we might need to win a natty.

Agreed. Our stadium is one of the worst in the SEC, not because of size, but because of amenities. Hopefully this expansion leads to progress in that area.
