It'll be like asking Santa for a PS4 and waking up to a Wii.

Anyone else notice that Murchison has been picking up some strong offers after we offered and he comitted?

Guess chase Rogers isn't a take for us anymore either. Noticed it's between ull,Tulane and wake forest.

With 3 highly graded tight ends last year do all of them stay at that position? Mathis, Angel..

What about Pelerin? Remember hearing he wanted a position change to LB or TE. Anyone heard more about that?

We bungled that situation. Rogers and Brennan would have lit it up in our system. Gulf Coast doesn't put out the most football talent in the state but there are some players some years and we seem perfectly fine with State and LSU having that area. We've never actively recruited it.

He runs well enough to move the chains at times. It may lessen the threat of the read option but you could use more rb and wr movement to create the misdirection/option your looking for. At least you could with a better Oline than weve had the past couple of years.

If you have good enough coaches, they tweak the scheme to fit the strengths and weaknesses of your personnel. Ohio State likes to do a lot of QB run stuff, and they won a national title with Cardale Jones back there

Brennan would have been nice considering the departure of several QB recently but he is a project. He is bone thin and would need to add 30-40 lbs. plus he is no where near as refined as Patterson and you saw how he struggled the last 2 games. So he won't be ready for starting in the SEC for 2 and more likely 3 years.

That would be perfect, since Patterson is there for at least two more years

Best case scenario:

Hold on to all current commits (Bowie and Murchison seem prime candidates to flip)

3 LBs (from among Sanogo, Johnston, Oliver, Burley)
2 DBs (White and Calloway)
1 DL (in on several, would like to think we can get one, even though most are longshots)
1 OL (Gray)
1 RB (Richardson)

That leaves, 1 spot? We seem to be aggressively courting another receiver (not sure if that's a hedge against Bowie). Also, I'm sure there are people I'm forgetting about

Of course, we're not getting all those guys. Just hopefully enough that it's just a down recruiting class and not a terrible one

Surprised he would turn down SEC offers but best of luck to him

While I'm happy for UAB to get someone like Thomas because that team (and Coach Clark) really deserve some success, this is kind of baffling.
