Crime Dog told Bowie if he wants to play in the NFL then DB is his position.

Crime Dog knows defense.

I think we've got a pretty good shot at Fehoko. Apparently he has a family member that works in our compliance department.

Texas Tech was one of the few defenses in the country worse than ours. He started a bunch of games but didn't rack up meaningful stats. Maybe somebody who saw TT play can chime in? He was highly rated out of high school, which could mean he has untapped potential or could mean he didn't live up to the rating

Looking that way. Can't say I'm shocked at all. He's said for a while the lack of NCAA resolution would impact his decision. I'd hoped the realities of playing WR in Starkville would catch up to him, but, hey, he's got mouths to feed and needs to do whatever he thinks is best for him

Just hope he was mature enough to call and inform the coaches that he wasn't going to be here. I certainly understand cancelling last minute so he doesn't get bugged by people like yancy and that druggie insider from state, but you owe it to the coaches who have spent years recruiting you to not just be a no show. I'm guessing they were probably told but just didn't publicize it. O well.

^^^ On the other hand, what could be more important (aside from the death of a close relative or the flu), to miss the last visit to the school where you might spend 4 of the most important years of your life. However, I don't think Akers visited FSU the week before he committed either, so who knows. It ain't over, til it's over. Lastly, as I've said before, I won't believe anybody signs with us these days until the ink is dry. #suethencaa

I'm never going to blame a teenager for making a football decision he feels best for him. I'm not sure what's going on is even drama, but I do want him to be a Rebel. There are a lot of signs suggesting he won't be, and I won't be surprised if we lose him, but it'll suck to lose him. It does seem odd and doesn't bode well when there's so much speculation around a guy who's been committed for over a year though, so the only real answers will come Wednesday

If he does come today, He'll do the land shark at the basketball game and get the love and then ring the cowbell on Wednesday. So predictable

I follow this recruiting a little too much, I suppose, but I really don't understand the dynamic behind a player being committed to a school for over a year and then picking another on signing day. It's just weird. Then again, maybe that will happen, maybe it won't.

.? Maybe you need to expand your viewpoint

Another school comes in and makes an offer that the other school can't. And that recruit capitalizes on it. Not a hard concept to grasp.

Then why stay committed? What's the point of staying committed somewhere for over a year only to jump ship in the 11th hour, without ever formally decommitting? I don't think we get him, which is a shame, but his recruitment has been kinda odd, even if he has made it clear the NCAA investigation will have some impact on his decision. Obviously, definitely want him if he sticks

Because this is how Dan Mullen plays the game?
It's like you guys have never followed recruiting.
He doesn't want them to decommit, it's a better zing when he "flips" on signing day
This same game has been played repeatedly it's how he keeps the state fans happy with his 1/2 year recruiting approach.

Boom we got TSUN
And also they can report improprieties to Dan that they see while on the recruitapalooza

I was speaking generally, not regarding the Hunchback's sleeper cell tactics. Leo Lewis, Jeffrey Simmons' "silent commitment," Willie Gay naming us over State in his top 2, etc. I understand the dedication to troll attempts. 0% of fans should be surprised if Bowie flips. They should be disappointed though because it's a kid we've had committed longer than most of the rest of the class combined. Plus, there's no "gotcha!" moment if three no surprise, so I'm not sure what the point of the current charade would be

I think you need to look up the word "committed." Or at least I think the word "committed" is used very loosely these days in college athletics.
