Ran into one of our starting offensive players on the square last night (he grew up with the son of the friend I had dinner with). He said the LBers seemed "on board" and the recruits were having a good time.

Sources say he definitely has a chance to qualify. That probably means he has no shot

Any word on bowie? Is he gonna flip to state? Nothing will make up for losing Akers, but if we get Richardson, him and pennamon could be a good duo and the highest ranked rbs coming out of high school we've had in a long time. I'm hoping Pennamon makes a huge leap next year

Hope we can make some head way with Murphy from Hattiesburg. Worked a few of their games this year he has playmaker ability. Would definitely help to get an in with Fabian Franklin for next year. Franklin is a big powerful runner.

I really admire the Rocconi kid but if my son has offers to Penn, Princeton, or Brown I'm going to push him to those schools. In the end it's obviously his decision but man those are hard to turn down.

Any chance we make a late move on Redd? Saw we offered and he is visiting next weekend. Just seems like it may be too late to sway him.

Do Princeton and Brown offer athletic scholarships in football?
Thought Ivy League schools did not offer them.

No they don't but you don't have to be brilliant to get in if you play football.

Swinney was ranked higher than Pennamon and Richardson, but who knows if he'll ever play

Their scholarship is getting you admitted and a chance at an Ivy League Education. Which is probably worth even more than the money Alabama can offer

Alabama doesn't offer any money. Just ask the NCAA. All those 5 Stars just want to sit the bench for 2 years to learn "the process".

Correct Ivy League schools only give academic aid based on financial situations.

My cousin had "offers" to play in the Ivy League. Basically the athletes get "academic scholarships" like you said, but pretty much every athlete gets them. As far as getting into the school. I know for a fact that they all required a gpa of 3.5 and I don't remember what he told me the act/sat scores he had to get were, but they were higher than what's required in general for d-1. Also Dixon looks really good on tape. I'm excited about that.

So wait... I'm kind of late to the party but are we actually in line to sign some players that aren't terrible?
