Wrong

Not guilt but a strong desire to please and honor God and His Sons sacrifice. If you have truly accepted Jesus's sacrifice for your sins the you will DESIRE to please God through obedience

Did you never experience that?

I would have to have a church to change churches. I'm a free spirit.

Sexual immorality is sexual immorality whether it be gay or hetero. The bible specifically condemns this in the scripture. Which might I add is the emphasis and the focus for "what do I do if" in Christianity. I would hope the pastor would repent and take a break from the pulpit...If not then I'd have to go.

There are many scriptures where those things are addressed but I'm driving now so we'll simply have to agree to not agree my friend

See, here's where Christians get so greedy.
I'll use myself as an example. I spent my life with God, both publically and privately, for 30 years. I have a row of prayer journals that cross decades of my life. I worked in missions, I led people to Christ, have a degree in theology. I found meaning and identity in my relationship with God...

But Sarge is of the opinion that if I live in unrepentant sin, and I do, than it means I never was "saved" in the first place. And that is what he has to say or else he might have to tell you that I'm going to heaven when I die, even though I don't believe in God.

Still hanging on to my "Once Saved Always Saved" ticket. joking, I cashed it in too. Sarge you seem like the kind of guy who doesn't believe "Once saved, Always saved" anyway.

What say you, Sargent? Am I going to Heaven?

I believe once truly saved God will not remove or take His gift of Salvation...but can you refuse to accept it?

You, Stacked, have said many times that you are uncertain if you ever were saved.

Only you and God know. Certainly not me.

And I'm willing to wager that many living an open homosexual lifestyle and proclaiming they are happy and at peace with it, secretly struggle with it in ways they will never admit

You know what he's gonna say

You know what Imma say

I can guess what you're gonna say

Bottom line is, it doesn't fricking matter what we choose to present on here or not. God knows all our hearts.

You have a degree in theology. You know the ins and outs of this stuff better than many folks. If you choose to try to get back into God, you know there are avenues. If not, there's nothing that says you can't lead a happy, joyful, helpful life without Christianity.

We get to choose for ourselves, and it's fricking awesome.

Imma bust your balls on here errday either way, though, you already know lol

Wrong, I was making the same joke I am making now and you took it as me questioning whether or not I was saved. It's hilarious to me. Do you think I was just putting on a show the first 30 years? Trying to fool folks and then decided to give up the charade?

No Stacked you misunderstand. You have asked several questions in here and made many statements that only someone that has never truly experienced God would ask or say. It's ok, I'm not picking on you. I've known many that knew of God but never Knew God. I was once one of them.

imo, You and Sarge are the faces of Christianity on this board.

Not because y'all are good Christians, because y'all are the only two people who's screennames I remember.

Sarge, I'm not proud of it but I have no idea how many times I've fricked with you about this. My relationship with God had never been a question in my mind and even isn't today looking back at no longer believing in a personal God.

I still believe I'm created. But in no way do I believe in the God you describe, nor would I ever love one. Needing you to recognize him or if you die befor you do he lets you spend eternity in hell. That isn't love. I wouldn't accept that kind of attention seeking from my kid or my significant other. I won't accept it from my god. The god you describe needs to grow up. The God I believe is happy we're enjoying his creation. The rest he'll let me know when HE wants to talk to ME, not the other way around.

If the pastor stayed, I'd leave. A church is more than a pastor. It is a community of believers.
