I know, I was laughing at the resident Aggie and Gamecock curmudgeons having to agree

Perish THAT thought

We got a game this month and most of y'all SC peeps are making it difficult to work up a good hate. Not cool

It's gonna be a good rivalry one of these days. And we can say we were there in the beginning. I'm going to take pictures and everything.

I happily accept that title for the Aggies - I have old lady SafetySam beat by two weeks and as far as I know nobody else is close. But we're youngsters compared to scrooster, who should probably get a pass because of his advanced age but I still remember his "Aggie Fans - HATE 'EM" sig. Because I'm old, and like that. And because frick USC, that's why.

You'll be well-represented by the two resident curmudgeon Aggies, as well as SafetySam's father who must be 120 or so by now. And I'm 3-0 in Aggie games visited since the move, so this one would seem to be a lock to me. It's fate.

For a 14-yr old? Because that's what you fools are talking about. You just haven't lived through those times and don't get it. Let 18-yr olds buy booze, 14-yr olds will be getting drunk. I was one of them.

14 year olds are getting drunk/high right now. LINK

Most kids have had a drink by the age of 15. 21 is ridiculous for a drinking age. It's ignoring reality.

Frequency? When I was 14 and before the football coaches got hold of my no-account arse, I was getting plastered every weekend in the 18 days. I don't think that's happening now. Yeah, I had a few problems with my 17-yr old son and having to throw him over my shoulder to take him home. But 17 isn't 14.

Well of course you think that. You're from Louisiana, where the state damn near told the feds to shove their federal highway funds up their arse, Louisiana kids are gonna drink, as is their God-given right.

You haven't lived until you've gotten into a bar as a 45 year old hispanic named Juan Perez.

No, I just don't give much credence to polls like that. "Dear 15-yr old: Have you gotten drunk a lot, or are you a loser?". That's how a teenager would view the question. I think a more meaningful survey would be a record of drunk-and-disorderly arrests. Unfortunately that would skew the results too much in my favor, as kids got away with a LOT more crap in my young days.

I think lowering the drinking age is a really, really bad idea. But I'm glad I don't have to worry too much about it as my 3 are over 21. If you young clowns want to deal with the consequences, knock yourselves out.

The increased drinking age just increases the number of underage drinkers, it doesn't keep people from drinking.

As an 18, almost 19 year old, I can safely say no one listens to the drinking age. 15 is when most people start messing around with alcohol and by 18 I would say 60 % of us drink regularly.

Lower the drinking age. And my free my negro who got an MIP

I'll agree to disagree but you're full of shite if you think lowering the drinking age won't cause more problems. But as I mentioned... they won't be MY problems, so knock yourself out. Contact your senator and bring it to a vote. The only thing I'd have a serious problem with is leaving it up to the states, because you Louisianimals will end up killing a lot of Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas kids racing for the border if it is left up to the states.

I think it should be 18 for beer and 20 for hard liquors

Less MiPs? Probably.

The drinking age isn't keeping 18 year old people from drinking.

So stop whining and "Contact your senator and bring it to a vote."

We both know why that won't happen. Absolutely no chance of passing. Blame me. I'll gladly accept the blame.

It should be 21. I really wouldn't care if it was even higher.
