Goshdamn you're a dyed-in-the-wool living and breathing born and bred dumbfrick.

I'll be lulzing at what's left of you dumbfricks when they are dumping my ashes in the ocean before the big party begins on the boat being rented for my wake.

My kids, their kids, they'll all be laughing at your bitter shite-for-free mentality arse too.

No matter how it all turns-out after I'm gone ... the one thing I learned long ago is that none of us have control over any of it ... but I damned sure know that in the end the ones that work for it enjoyed the trip better than the hand-out-taking little snot-nosed dick riders.

Zero sum disease runs deep with you.

Pointing out the BS of white collar welfare is not the same as justifying no-collar welfare, dumb arse.

why not let each state choose the age?

It's a logistics nightmare.

I'm all for state's being more independent, but it's not unreasonable to ask that the drinking age is the same across the board.

how is it a logistical nightmare if each state sets its own age? it wouldn't be that hard for each state to vote on the age it would want. Then when you are in that state you follow its laws. I'm not saying where this would be a big change.

Better yet ... road crews. Road crews and gravel pits. Road crews and gravel pits and cotton fields.

Let them raise what they eat.

Hell, I've seen Brubaker ... I know all about reform and how to turn the teet suckers into productive citizens.

Scrooster, you're completely entitled to your worldview (not that you need me to tell you that), but your stance is about as "big government" as it gets. You'd be far more honest to avoid calling yourself a conservative.

It's hilarious to see people who "support small government" come out in favor of strict laws on abortion, drinking, drugs, etc.

Big government my arse.

States Rights ... if the South had won the War of Northern Aggression we wouldn't be having this dumb fricking conversation.

Each state should be allowed to do whatever the frick its citizenry dictates. But when it comes to the limited Federal stuff .... the military and federal taxes, those two things should dictate:

1 - Who can vote in Federal elections

2 - Who can partake in Federally taxed vices.

A united government has to generate revenue.

No state can be an island unto itself.

I'm far more Libertarian than Conservative, I'm just not someone who believes in isolationism or letting the people run rampant. Because, in a nation where anything goes ... everything eventually will. We are proof of that.

You're not alone in that view. A lot of people buy into what I call the nanny state mentality. I just think we should decide a legal age someone will be considered an adult, and at that point they can vote, own a gun and consume what they want as long as they aren't endangering others. There are solid arguments on the side of a more powerful central state to be made, which you've done.

Oh, I agree.

But if the liberals get their way we'll continue to pay people to breed, we'll let felons vote, we'll let illegal non-citizens vote ... hell, Colorado is already giving them driver's licenses so they can register to vote ... we're already paying people to vote with welfare ...

We're done. Stick a fork in us.

My Dad called this in the 50s. My oldest brother said it was irreversible in the 60s.

We're there, now. It's finally come to a head.

Jefferson warned us this might happen and he and his fell Founding Fathers tried to make it impossible to happen ... but the liberal socialist communists found a way to use our laws and our courts against us.

The great experiment has failed.

Voting was a biggie. Legal drinking age is minor in the overall scheme of things. Young people have always found a way to drink ... they/we just did it without spouting it in everyone's face.

Kids these days, snot nosed wet behind the ears, are empowered. They way to take over because they've been told they know everything by our school systems ... when, in fact, they don't know jack shite yet.

If you wanna drink, hell, drink. That's bush league crap to get pissy about.

Smoke dope if you want to. You'll never get caught unless you do something stupid.

It's the stupid people that are demanding more rights ... and think about that.

I'll type it again. It was one of my Dad's favorite sayings.

In a nation where anything goes ... everything eventually will.

Look around. the liberal socialist progressive will promise you anything, give you anything ... and then will come the day when they will take everything. It's coming.

It would be a logistical nightmare for many reasons.

All over the country you'd have young kids traveling across borders to buy alcohol. It's stupid and increases the risk of bad things happening. A uniform age limit isn't asking a lot.

What do you think about 3-yr olds sticking paperclips in electrical outlets? They'll learn, right?

I don't see much difference.

Because you don't live close to a border? If left up to the states I can guarantee what will happen here. Mississippi will leave it alone. Louisiana will lower the drinking age to 6, and Vicksburg kids will kill and be killed crossing the river.

There's no safe way to stick paperclips into electrical outlets
