I've walked by the one in Opry Mills countless times and never really thought about going in. Something about mall restaurants.
Their steaks aren't life changing, but they're okay. Their mac and cheese is awesome though.

J Al's is for the most part crap. Those chicken fingers are pretty chronic though.

On another note, I didn't realize Taziki's was a chain until like 6 months after it opened.
Like the Taziki's that started in Birmingham? I didn't realize they had franchised out of state.
They're decent, but for similar style food I prefer Zoe's, which also started in Birmingham and is also now a chain.

Yeah, that'd be it. Memphis has a Tazikis and Nashville has a Zoe's. I liked Tazikis better.

Gnarcat21 used to live in those apartments behind MG's as well.
Miss those apartments :( me and whitlock are going to MG tonight actually. I agree, MG isn't anything amazing but it's pretty freakin good as long as you don't get it to go
To answer the OP, I imagine the worst restaurants I ever eaten at was at one if those shitty Chinese buffets. I'm trying to think of something more specific though. I will say that some of the worst meals I have ever eaten have been at Buffalo Wild Wings. It's not always terrible, but wen it's off, it's bad

I've heard this several times (and unfortunately experienced it too). It's amazing to me just how much they ride off of the sports viewing experience and I'm even more surprised someone hasn't legitimately challenged them on it. I thought Beef O'Brady's might there for awhile but it's not nearly the same viewing experience.

I too can vouch for this.

When I lived in Charlotte it was known as BW-3 and it was actually really good. After I moved away, they changed the name and they started popping up everywhere. I'm not sure I've ever been to a chain where the food was so wildly inconsistent. You go one night and the food isn't horrible, but you go the next night and it's barely edible.

The only one I've ever been to was the one at Animal Kingdom in Disney and that shite was awesome, but everywhere else is terrible from what I've heard.

I stopped going because the service always seems to suck and the food is mehhhh at best. Had several occasions where I literally had to flag somebody down to take my order (not during a major sporting event) and then have to walk up to the bar to see what they had on tap because my server said "They had too many beers for her to remember and maybe I should go look to see if I like any of them"

Should have added that crap hole to the list, too.

Many, many people still call it that. It was originally Buffalo Wild Wings and Weck.
ETA - The worst meal I ever had at a restaurant was at a Frisch's Big Boy in Indiana. I ordered a chicken fettuccine alfredo, and was served a bowl of lukewarm chicken and pasta swimming in a bowl of slimy gelatinous sauce reminiscent of mucus.
And, for the record, I go to Momma Goldberg's regularly because they have two fantastic sandwiches on the menu. Unfortunately, though, nothing else on the menu is very good.

Any On The Border but the one by the Ford plant entrance in Detroit is the absolute worst place I've ever eaten

Applebee's is the absolute worst.
It makes Chile's seem like fine dining.

This is true, but I live in Mexico City and every last one has been pretty damn good. Even in the United States, I haven't had that many bad experiences.
I may just have extraordinarily low standards and am just glad to be eating, so I do have to factor that.

I don't get the hate for B-Dubs. It's not a 5 star restaurant, but if I wanna drink beer and watch a game it's pretty awesome. Their wings are decent, too.

It's probably one of those things where they're just terribly inconsistent depending on the one you visit. I've just never been a fan of their sauce and wings. They're almost always too small and the sauce is too thick/sweet. And the service is usually pretty shitty. I don't think it's too much to ask for a place that is named for their wings to have good wings and decent service.
