I've heard of him, he seems pretty cool. Would love to see one of his shows.

Do yourself a favor and go see him. He's freaking hilarious. Honestly, I think he is about to explode in popularity. It was cool getting to see and meet him before he takes off. The other comedians that are in the show are great as well. If you're from the South, he absolutely nails the culture here.

Actually, I wouldn't use the word sad. He's pissed to see his people, poor white southerners, vote for someone who doesn't give a damn about them. He's also pissed at liberal elites who completely write off the South and other rural areas and keep allowing this shite to happen.

first video you linked dude said Trump doesn't have a clue how to deliver on any of the promises he made

Trump has fulfilled several of his promises in his first 5 days in office

poor guy. it would appear trae is the one without a clue. hell as soon as he said he was voting for anti gun hillary his redneck status was revoked. had he voted for gary johnson his opinion would have been taken more seriously

I think liberals have lived in this hyperbolic echo chamber where they truly start to believe the impossible. They really believe that Trump is a liar, that he can't do anything he's said he would, and that he's just out to rob the poor and make himself richer. It's insane.

I think Trae was referring to the lost jobs in their communities.

Trae is not anti-gun. If you read his book, you would understand that he likes to hunt and fish just as much as any other redneck. He just doesn't need a machine gun to do it. He believes in common sense gun laws.

I agree that their are some liberals who fall into this category. Also, I believe their are many conservatives who are in this boat as well.

Well..... there is that whole Trump University thing. I'm not one of those liberals who think he won't do what he said he would. I feel like he will absolutely do everything he says. This scares the shite out of me. Republicans/Conservatives don't have the best record when it comes to standing up for the poor, so I completely understand why people would feel this way.

The Democratic Plantation has done more to destroy the black family unit, perpetuate the cycle of poverty, and keep people poor than any Republican policy I can think of. What I don't understand is why anyone believes Democratic "woe is me, white privilege is the root of all evil" policy works. The black family survived slavery and Jim Crow, but was decimated when the Democrats took control of black people via the welfare state. When Democrats believed their bureaucracy and redistribution of wealth could save the poor, that's only when they truly made it the problem it is today.

i.e. i'll give you Eastern Kentucky and WV. but to say it about the rest of the south is ignorant.

the point is that the poor black people in the south are the ones voting blue. the red areas in the south are in less poverty than the blue areas. so the stereotype that white folks living in poverty in the south voting red is much less true than black people living in poverty in the south voting blue.

now there is some systematic racism that got those areas to be in such poverty and it sucks. it's not a red vs. blue issue to me, i just think that the assertion you made is factually incorrect.

Doesn't mean they aren't poor. Just not as poor as the black population.

I think they are both equally true.

I mean, almost every county that isn't majority black voted red.

Which party represents most of the poorer states/areas of the country? I agree that poor Blacks vote blue but are outnumbered by Republicans at every level of government.
