It's barely even an inch.

I don't think the amount matters. Hell, there were cars just sitting there spinning tires in intersections. It's more like ice than snow.
This sounds crazy but it's like a dry snow. I tried making a snowball and it took forever. But it was worth it to smack one of my guys with it.

The weird thing is that it came down (and is still coming down where I am) in like individual flakes. In NJ, it was like someone poured buckets of golf balls from the sky. It looks very powdery... I haven't been out and don't plan on it

There's a couple of inches of it outside my office.
And yeah, it's a dry snow. Not sure how that effects the ice sitch, but there is definitely a lot of ice on the roads.

I thought I was getting away from this shite by moving to Bama!
My roommate is stranded and scared. My boyfriend is stuck at work. Mass hysteria.

No we don't get "super storms" in the south that privilege is only for the northeast

That's good to hear. I haven't left the house. It sounds rough out there. I have no idea if my mom's even gonna make it home tonight... a friend lives near where she works so she might just stay there

I always wondered if I-285 could back up around the perimeter completely so that the backups would meet.... Yep!

This is 280 in Birmingham looking east just past Lakeshore Pkwy where it goes back up hill.

Exactly.

I was trying to find a pic of 65 between Lakeshore and Alford. People out on the interstate trying to push cars and jumping up and down on the back of trucks. Like 7 - 8 tractor trailers jack knifed.

Pissed at the weather folks. Looks like I might have to spend the night at the office. 280 eastbound is a friggin' nightmare from what I can see.
