I've been in the real world for 20 years, many of those years working in public accounting. I've prepared more financial statements and corporate tax returns I care to mention. I've sat in on meetings where a company is considering expansion. Are businesses concerned about taxes? Absolutely. Do they weigh the potential tax impact into any decision they may make to expand their business? Maybe a little, but more for a planning perspective. If the demand is there, and the desire is to make more money, they will expand 9 times out of 10.

Why do Democrats never acknowledge that when the evil Ronald Reagan lowered tax rates, overall federal revenues went up?


I'll just pose this simple question to you. Would you turn down at raise at your current position if it moved you into a higher tax bracket?
I understand there are exceptions but in a broad sense most people wouldn't. Why, because there is an opportunity for more profit if you do. The same goes for a company regardless of taxes.
