Sounds delicious. They are normally very lean, so once tenderized I bet it is quite tasty.

Wow, I tried to give you the benefit of a doubt but you suck.

Check him for ticks on his skin right behind his head on top where his spine runs. Ticks can paralyze a dog if he gets right on the neck.

Thanks. We did check him for ticks.

He is feeling much better now. He is still sleeping a lot and you can tell he isn't feeling well, but he is a lot better than last night.

glad the dog is doing better

just an fyi for future reference, there are quite a few veterinarians that frequent the texag outdoor board. If you were to ask a question like this over there you will get some good info from responses.

that is why i gave a specific place that is has some heavy traffic to some damn good vets that A&M seems to produce at a high rate. Would never send anyone to that place for an opinion on basically any other board. Just an easy access to opinions without having to pay out the arse at a emergency clinic.

Idk how many of you read the IM thread. I just got back from the vet with him. He has cancer in his stomach. I'll have to put him to sleep soon. The vet just told me to keep him comfortable and feed him what he wants. When he stops eating, it's time to put him to sleep.

I'm freaking out right now. I'm an emotional wreck. The vet told me not to come home and be alone, but I really don't feel like occupying company, and besides I don't have anyone to come be with me.

Sorry to hear that. Lost my other boxer a few months ago to brain tumor, and know how much it sux. Just make him as comfy as you can, and take comfort knowing you are doing all you can and still have some time with him.

That's what I'm doing. I'm feeding him chicken and pepperoni and anything that he wants.

The vet said that as long as he keeps eating and drinking a little and he isn't suffering, we can hold off. It won't be long though.

I did the same thing. She ate steak with me, and hamburger and anything else that would give her an appetite. They had her on prednisone and that helped her for a bit. Did they put yours on any steroids or anything? It helped her appetite, and gained some weight. Downside, is it was a diaphoretic (sp?) and lordy did she pee alot. And not always before she got outside. Thankfully got rid of carpet beforehand.

They didn't give him anything. The cancer is in his stomach. I don't think that there is much that they can do to help him.

God, this sucks so bad.

That just stinks all around. Glad he doesn't seem to be in any pain though. You being there to take care of him will keep him happy and comforted.
