I've never understood what's supposed to be so macho about boxers or pitts. They're meatheads.

You want a manly dog, get a shepard or some crazy shite, like a boerboel or wolfdog.

Thanks for not trying to scare or alert me, but you just scared the shite out of me.

I think you just answered your own question. I just like boxers because I've had one and know how much fun they can be. I honestly never thought about getting a "macho" dog. I do see what you mean by that though.

Sounds just like he ate something he shouldn't have and its disagreeing with his digestive system. If that's it then it should pass but DEFINITELY take him to the vet as a precaution. I hope your pup gets better

Good point.

I wonder what the ultimate alpha male dog is.

I would think a wolf hybrid but that maybe me being a homer because I love wolves too. I always wanted an Alaskan malamute or some wolf hybrid dog.

Sorry.
I love my dogs thought, and my lesson learned is that when they feel bad and are not behaving normally, I look at their gums. If they were pale at all, I'm off to the vet immediately. Just relaying my experience to you based upon your description.
Best of luck to you and your dog.

One of my old friends had a half malamute half black tundra wolf. She wasn't mean, but she was big, and was still very much a wild animal. That's the most intimidated I've ever felt by an animal that wasn't on the other side of a fence, and I never even heard her growl.

Another friend had a half husky half timberwolf. She was beautiful, but not much bigger than a beagle.

I bet they both were beautiful and the wild animal part to them is pretty scary. I wonder how a combo of half husky half timberwolf would make that second as small as a beagle

Although if my memory serves me correct, the timber wolf is the smallest in the wolf family, so that maybe the reason or I'm just too drunk to remember

I have no idea how that dog ended up that small. I made fun of him about it forever, because all he did for 6 months was talk about how big and bad this wolfdog he was buying was going to get. I don't even wanna know how much he spent on her.

Chows are badass. Twisted, evil dogs, but badass.

I would have done the same I would guess he spent a lot on her. My brother-in-law bought an indoor dog for his wife a few years ago that cost over $800.00 at the time. I think it is a Shiatsu or something like that.

I have a boxer but he's not macho at all. Just kind of goofy like most of the one's I've known.

Coastie, I'm glad your pup is feeling better. Good luck at the vet tomorrow. If you like we can exchange emails (somehow?) and you can shoot me a line if you have anymore questions

ETA: I'm not real big on Chows. Can be a little angry and unpredictable at times.

But they poop in the same spot no matter how big the yard, so that has to account for something.

Nothing beats a Golden. Grew up with them. There's not a more loyal, loving breed out there.

A good, well trained GSD is a great dog I'll give you that. I'm big on the black and sable or all black colored ones.
