That isn't true, a person who frequently visited the club has said he would ask guys to dance. I guess dancing with a guy doesn't make you gay but why would he do that if he just went to scope out the place before his attack.

Edit: He also tried to pick up other guys. LINK

After a tragedy like this, it makes you wonder how many more of these radical jihadist guys there are here that are in the US on the FBI "radar".

Other guys? I've read that one person claimed he asked him out and if that one guy had said yes I bet he'd be dead in some swamp today

Weren't the brothers from the Boston bombing already on the watch list?

Could be true but I was just disputing your point.

There is reason to believe he could have been gay. That doesn't mean he also wasn't connected to ISIS or that he didn't have extremist beliefs

I agree that there is definitely cause to question his secret lifestyle choices

And it certainly could have impacted his choice of victims

Exactly, it makes more sense to me if he was gay or bi. In his mind he probably thought it was a way to justify his wrongs. It is impossible to know for sure.

I think he was just figuring out his plan. Maybe he started out thinking he would murder gays one at a time. But visiting the bar frequently over a long period makes a lot of sense if your planning an attack. Who are security guards? How often and how many? Bouncers? Management offices that might have guns? Recon was crucial.

Not saying he wasn't closet gay or unsure about himself but I would say it's improbable based on his actions

Oh, I definitely believe that at one point his visits were to scope out the place. That is a very reasonable assumption but I also believe that it could have started out as him just being curious.

I believe the guy in the article said he would show up at least once or twice a month but I'm not sure how long he had been going. That could play a factor as well.

I'm sure more about this nut will be forthcoming in the days and weeks ahead. He began frequenting gay bars 10 years ago and had Grindr accounts with which he hooked up with men.

It wouldn't be shocking to discover that he was a serial killer who preyed on gay men. He had all the markers.

The massacre at Pulse may have been the ultimate escalation that all serial killers display. He may go down in history as one of the most prolific killers of all time.

Huh? Explain this sentence. Why is there "definitely cause to question his secret lifestyle choices"? lol how about he was just gay? It's pretty clear. You're looking for rationale from an irrational person. He was gay, just like our gays, and felt obligation from his religion to act in defiance to his gayness and other's gayness. Maybe if he killed a bunch of gays, Allah will see that he delt with his infliction with righteousness, thus, making it to heaven despite of it.

Don't bother, Tbird. It's a stupid rant about why some men are gay.

The speaker thinks homosexuality is a choice. He deduced that, because some men were contacting their mothers the absence of their fathers is why they chose to be gay.

Utter stupidity and supremely callous coming so soon after the tragedy.

I agree it's a choice.

But I also 100% agree with this
