One day this moron politician slipped on an ice patch in his district somewhere and tried to sue the business on the property for $1,000,000. You can't make this stuff up.

80% of tu's 80% is 5 miles or greater away, I bet 30% of that is 15-20 miles or greater away
It's a result of being location in the heart of growing major city, it is having a negative impact on the culture and connection students have with the school

How in 21 months could the actions of this guy be destroying the performance of the the school academically? Even if his actions are laying the groundwork for this, I find it hard to imagine that in one year there were measurable declines in academic performance that could be linked to his actions. Sorry, I work in analytics and this seems unusual.
More likely he is not a fit with the culture of the school for whatever reason.

Loftin needs to go. He kowtowed to the legislature, and that may have won him some political points, but one can't run a university without the support of the people who work there.
