But you won't say what you believe.

But I did, in multiple ways.

Do I believe tens of thousand of people are in on a big conspiracy to keep a cancer cure under wraps? Absolutely not.

I said, as a collective culture we are throwing unprecedented amounts of money at finding a magic potion cure while ignoring all of the things that are causing an influx in disease.

I'm not saying that doctors in their labs are purposely not finding a cure for cancer, I'm saying that collectively, the way we're going about this is hypocritical and arse backwards.

Doctors/scientists are given certain boundaries to work with, these boundaries are in place because what they come up with must be profitable. If a plant or baking soda or anything that is cheap and readily available was found to cure disease it would destroy major industries.

I said that the cancer industry is a 200 billion dollar gig, with all kinds of rippling financial benefits to the health care industry, big pharma, and the government.

I'm sure it's just me, but that seems like a heck of an incentive to suppress and discredit cheap and readily available methods for killing cancer cells.

This is a face to face conversation, very difficult to get everything out in words in this format.

You'll forgive me if I think many of them don't have a clue about mortality and prognosis. It's rate to meet a cancer doc who knows when to quit on a patient. They're all convinced that all their patients will get better. Which is good until it's wrong.

Seems like your own subjective conjecture.

Pure, unsubstantiated conjecture.

Thats funny, given that most think we are out to give our patients death sentences.

It's not at all.

What is discovered has to be profitable for the engine that feeds the search.

Third year med student. I also spent some time in postgrad medical research before deciding on med school.

The vast majority of medical research dollars come from the federal government, and most of the rest comes from private donations and fundraising.

Many moons ago I ran into an Astra Zeneca rep in an office. Funny guy.

He said, "I sell Toprol so the fat guy can eat another piece of pizza. I sell Nexium so the fat guy can eat another piece of pizza. And I sell Crestor so the fat guy can eat another piece of pizza. My job basically revolves around fat guys eating more pizza."
