You blatantly claimed that Trump rose because of white nationalism. Obama was elected in large part due to blacks voting in record numbers. you don't think those are germane?

There was not a vein of black nationalism to Obama's black support.

There is a definite undercurrent of white nationalism to Trump's run. It doesn't really drive the majority, as most conservatives are good people just looking to make the best choice. It's there though, in the darker corners of the Trump support.

Pedophilia is in the darker corners of Hillary support.

oh of course. i laugh at hillary's deplorable comment because insulting the other side's voter base is beyond stupid, but i understand the sentiment and would say it's partially true. but it's flip for the democrats as well.

i fully recognize the WT, racist portion of the republican party.

Black Nationalists didn't even LIKE Obama because he wasn't racially radical enough for their liking. Cornel West & Tavis Smiley HATED him because he didn't trot himself out as a "black" president that sought to hammer white people.

that's not a universally true statement though. there are plenty of black nationalist (jeremiah wright) that were full on board for him. i totally agree he wasn't "black enough" for some of the movement, but to think he didn't have a vein of support from that group is purely asinine.

I have to figure he just didn't really want to be POTUS that badly

Plus I imagine after all the bullshite he had to endure the first time didn't make it any more appetizing

Jeb sucked up all the money and frankly the GOP electorate wasn't looking for reasonable.

I get the buzz words, but what freedoms has obama taken away from you? It's a serious question because you and a lot of the Poli board say it, but it's not as easy to just say whatever you want outside of that safe zone.

What freedoms has obama taken away?

How about we start with the ability to choose whether or not to have health insurance without having to pay thousands in fines?

Like single payer? Which was the original plan? But couldn't get passed because of something, I forget.

But even if that was a good answer, that is ONE. A "freedom hater" needs at least a few no?

Hopefully this isn't where you disappear.

I think the GOP were looking for a reasonable leader who wasn't constrained by the evangelicals and their social-conservative-first fanaticism. America has moved strongly leftward regarding civil liberties and the GOP noticed, finally.

I think that's why Cruz, Rubio and Carson floundered in the primaries. I was really hoping Kasich would get the nomination but he was drowned out by Trump's sexist bluster and nationalistic blather.
