Does anyone know black people who say, "Sharpton and Jackson speak for me"? I don't know a single one. There were plenty of blacks here in St. Louis who told Sharpton and Jackson to go home, they weren't needed.

They're solved in the micro at the family level.
Stop paying them to not work and have children out of wedlock. There may be a violent resistance and a period of upheaval, but it will die down. If people have to work to survive, they will. If they don't, they won't. No person on welfare has ever knocked on my door and asked to clean the gutters for some money. I've had poor people not on welfare, black or white, do this several times. It's quite simple.

I think this is a little overblown.

They have jobs specifically because people support them.

If it weren't the case, their names wouldn't be so prevalent

That is a "system" problem, and not a problem unique to black people.

I agree, though. There should be greater incentives for folks to better themselves.

You do realize that it hardly takes an overwhelmingly concerted effort to support/prop up a couple of clowns, correct?

Doesn't make them leaders.

It ceases to be a system problem when:

Welfare Demographics
Percent of recipients who are white 38.8 %
Percent of recipients who are black 39.8 %
Percent of recipients who are Hispanic 15.7 %
Percent of recipients who are Asian 2.4 %
Percent of recipients who are Other 3.3 %

There is a problem in the black community that needs to be addressed immediately.

I know plenty of doctors who talk about it. Almost a daily occurrence for some. A woman with 3 kids by 3 fathers want to know if she can have another so she can get more money. Sometimes she wants her tubes un-tied to get more gov't money. She's not ashamed to admit it, because that's her job. Someone pays her to do that. The black welfare queen is very much real.

There is no black community.

And it is very much a problem that the welfare system invites exploitation.

That's what I've been saying. It has nothing to do with blackness. If we took a group of poor whites and implemented the same system, the same propaganda, we'd have the same result.

I honestly have yet to meet a single black person who likes/supports Jackson or Sharpton. But then again, all of the black people I know are employed professionals.

And when 40% of your race is on welfare, well let's just say they have a few supporters.

Your problem is you think of black people too much as a collective. It is disingenuous and obfuscates more cogent issues.

No one is saying AS/JJ don't have supporters. I'm telling you it's not close to the overwhelming majority and black people by and large do NOT look to them as leaders.

And their supporters are largely corporations paying them reparations-lite and whites with liberal guilt.

Actually, if these numbers are accurate, it's a lot more than 40%:

I'm not denying that these examples exist. I'm saying that they're extreme outliers. The problem is a little more organic in my estimation, but ends in the same place.

I think you do this too. The criminals and ne-er-do-wells and welfare queens are shite people. They are trash with totally distorted ignorant worldviews. Most of them happen to be black, but decent folks (me and you, people of all races who live in normal society) have absolutely nothing in common with them. I don't sympathize with welfare criminal trash who happen to be white. I don't think there's any reason for you (or decent black people in general) to sympathize with the ones who happen to be black.
