You shouldn't discriminate against a religion. You don't see me snarking about Hugh being a Mt. Vernon between the two rivers faith and Harmony black southern baptist church and community center member..

What does the government defining marriage have to do with a Loras and Renly roll in the hay?

Take that business up with Oldtown.

Another one. So I can't say anything about gays without having a problem with them? Are you the guy who says, "If you have a problem with Obama, you're a racist"?

No, but if you see Obama eating fried chicken and have a problem with it, then its clear you are a racist. It's no different than getting pissed about a gay person saying he's having a relationship issue with his partner.

Anytime someone says "I don't have a problem with (insert group of people here), but....." You can be sure someone is about to say something absurd. This post is no exception.

Honestly, anytime there is a "but" in a sentence, you can completely disregard the first part of the sentence and then just focuses on what he actually means. "But" makes the first clause of a sentence entirely pointless, and I head that lie that comes before that word with a grain of salt, and then pay attention to the more honest portion of the sentence.

The Black community spokespeople have been on a rampage in recent years calling out individuals (mostly celebrities) and businesses for their remarks or perceived bigotry against blacks and that has created a lot of negative publicity.

I think a lot of networks add in token blackcharacters because it's the thing to do these days to avoid the wrath of the loud minority. It used to be token Irish characters, but now it's blacks.

There might be some conspiracy out there to desensitize people to blacks and black culture (I really don't think that's the case), but I think it is really about ratings and preventing public outrage. When it is all boiled down, the TV networks don't care about black, white, or rainbow; they just care about green.

And let's rewind this back 50 years ago to 1964, and hopefully you realize how prejudice and stupid you sound.

Be careful of what you say, if your identity is discovered and you're employed, well you may be risking your job. See Yahoo CEO De Castro, I doubt you'll get a 58 mil severance!

But why do we have to have it shoved down our throat every day?

I always laugh when homophobes say this. Also, I never have any complaints with the amount of gay stuff, there are plenty of tits and stuff to go around. You watch True Detective? Marty's slam pieces made my pants suuuuper tight, and Rust and Maggie's sex scene was off the chains.

Too long of an answer and one you'd hate anyway. Wanna know who Jon Snow's parents are?

Yeah, it really sucks when content on tv shows you don't have to watch that air on a channel you specifically chose to pay for gets "shoved down your throat."

In regards to the "shove it down your throat" thing.. If just displaying something publicly is "shoving down our throats", then publicly active Christians have been shoving an agenda down our throats for decades now.. Even to the point of affecting our laws, our school curriculum and plenty other aspects of the lives of the public at large.

That's a real example of having someone's lifestyle shoved down your throat, a hell of a lot moreso than something that happens in fiction or a TV drama.

Bottom line..gays should have the same rights as everyone else. Same for minorities or anyone else.

The law says that age religious beliefs, sexual orientation nor race should disqualify anyone in job consideration. Nor the right to vote(excepting minors). Nor the rights contained in the Bill of Rights or guaranteed us in the Constitution.

But nowhere in those documents does it say people should be granted special rights because of perceived or even real discrimination from the past. Prejudice, historically, was not an exclusive property of the aggrieved parties of today. The Irish and the Chinese are good examples of this.

Nowhere is the right to seek revenge, nor the right to punish those who might not agree with your particular agenda. The recent Mozilla case comes to mind.

Martin Luther King had a great idea and expressed it in his "I Have a Dream" speech. He was seeking EQUALITY, not vengeance, not reparations or special rights. Nor did he call for others rights to be taken from them over expressing their right of free speech.

Things like Mozilla should chill you all to the bone. The PC Police are a danger to democracy and the concept of consequences for expressing an opinion or taking a perfectly legal political stance is almost Gestapo like.

If being gay were the same as being black, you might have a point.

But I wasn't making a judgment one way or the other with my post. I was just expressing my opinion of what I believe is the reason why TV networks seem to have homosexual characters in so many TV shows compared to how they are represented in the general populous.

If you'd like to explain to me why my statements were "prejudice and stupid", I'd be more than happy to know why. If you'd like to contradict my statements, I'd like to see where I was wrong.
