Whatever auburn..,I'm going to bed. I'm sure you're sharp guy, but you really need to get past reading yahoo news. Educate yourself.
There are a lot of smart people out there. There's also a lot of dumbasses. The trick is figuring out which one you are.

People don't question studies and take them for a gospel. They dedicate they're lives to the "cause".

In college I worked for two environmental engineering profs. Did quite a bit with volatile emmissions and water. That being said, I learned a lot from them. I'm telling you, do the work yourself if you're going to be so hard headed

That shouldn't be the case, but I don't disagree that it can be.

We can't all study the climate in depth. I have a field and a job I'm already well versed in and a wife and kids I have to provide for. We can't all be climatologists, just like we can't all be quantum physicists, cosmologists or electrical engineers (wink wink). I rely on the body of work of the people that study fields outside of mine in depth to inform my opinion.

That does not mean I accept that work without question. I am at heart a skeptic. Skepticism is a method that includes the demand for evidence and critical analysis of it, which I am very much capable of, thank you very much.

I can guarantee you that if a methodologically sound paper saying "Hey. It turns out we were wrong. The cause of the recent warming is geothermal." came out tomorrow, I would definitely give it a long hard look and change my viewpoint if the conclusion is compelling enough.

I didn't read all of this thread... but here are some thoughts on the matter.

1. We don't have to worry about destroying the earth, it has gone through much worse things than what we are doing to it... We have to worry about destroying ourselves.

2. We most likely won't destroy ourselves completely, as we humans are great at adapting and overcoming adversity and finding a way to survive... but that doesn't mean a lot of people won't die.

3. If you think that the earth just changes climates regularly and recent changes are all just part of nature, you really don't know that much about the history of our planet and I would suggest watching this LINK

4. However, we as Humans and all animals have had to evolve and adapt to survive and the earth does change on it's own as well as due to our own intervention... The question that is now before us is do we want to try to limit the changes we as humans are making...? Or just let evolution and adaptation solve the problem for us.

I would say that evolving would mean taking responsibility for our actions regarding the planet.

No your not. You're not better than anyone, but you think you are better than everyone.

And so far your argument is global warming is man made. Why? because you said so that's why. And errbody that doesn't know that doesn't know shite. Cause you smarter than anybody. That is literally your entire argument.

So why don't you type up all your points here and submit them to a peer reviewed journal. It should be easy peasy for you, you review papers written by stupid phd's for God's sake. See what kind of feedback you get. Of course we both already know what kind of feedback you will get. Cause those fukers don't know shite either. Not like you.

Mizzoucocksucker, for being suck a bleeding heart, tree hugging liberal, it's interesting that your anti gay. Either that or your repressing feelings...

I've stated some information for you to go research. It's not my job to teach you. I don't get paid to do it. I try to avoid stupid people.

Anyone can write a paper. Most papers are published without proper peer review. It's not that big of a deal... Maybe I will write a few papers on the subject after I retire. Kids and a couple of buisnesses in different industries keeps me busy right now. However, everything I'm stating isn't novel. Hell, some of it I learned in college.

You really haven't stated any information. But ok you da man. I am still going with NASA, the American Chemical Society, the American Physical Society, The Geological Society of America, the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, American Meteorological Society, the American Geophysical Union, etc., etc., etc.

If they can fake a moon landing, they can fake anything.

Yeah well, I'm a member of one of those you listed.
You realize you can't go with a society... It's just a collection of people in that profession. I don't even know what to say. I'm done. Your ignorance wins. Wow.,.

So to summarize your posts:

1) Global warming is man made. No supporting data, facts or links.

2) You're young, Technical papers suck, phds suck.

3) Models suck. You're a jackass (at least you didn't make it personal)

4) A significant portion is due to ocean currents. No supporting data, facts or links.

5) Several general incomplete statements such as
it has to do with ocean currents
It has to do with what drives ocean currents (temperature/geology) and carbon capture/emission.

these are all your version of complete thoughts. I didn't leave anything out

6) NASA sucks. Technical Societies suck. Including the one I'm a member of. Whichever one that is. You (meaning me) are ignorant, and a cocksucker

All good stuff. Good stuff

Anyone who doesn't believe in man-made global warming at this point is a fricking retard. Seriously.

How can you lie about climate change? We had an ice age and came out of it.
