Humans remove and convert it as well. We dont make it out of thin air. It still comes from the earth. What studies show the levels of co2 released by nonhuman means?

Hard to believe that all the mega tons of shite that's poured into the atmosphere every day has no effect whatsoever on the climate. That just defies common sense.

CO2 was 4-5 times higher when the apex predator was T-Rex and there was exactly 0 man made emissions.

Nope.

The answer will be through the magic of science. Take solar energy, use the energy input to take CO2 and make gasoline. It's one avenue being researched currently.

I'm never angry on these forums, but I am disgusted from time to time. This is one of those times.

That and I just enjoy calling you stupid. You're stupid. Stop being stupid. Go pick up a 5th grade level science textbook and get your shite straight, stupid.

We take carbon that isn't already in the atmosphere, you know from underground, and burn it. That process puts additional CO2 into the atmosphere that wasn't there before we started burning it.

Quite a few. Carbon that we have emit has a very distinct radioactive signature that can be used to quantify it.

And the planet was warmer then too. Take a guess where all of that extra carbon went.

Your conclusion here is so fricking stupid it really needn't be dignified with an answer. Did you ignore all that shite about the carbon cycle in middle school?

what middle school?

I know a guy who has a sawmill. Has 6 vehicles that operate from wood. Practically no emissions are produced as a byproduc. In fact a prof at AU worked with him and he set world speed record with his truck in Salt Flats a few yrs ago. The technology has been around since WW II.

Scientists benefitted from fossil fuels as much as anyone else. And they will the next miracle product when its lucrative enough. Until then, they will produce studies and papers that will keep grants flowing, while others argue and protect their cash cows in industry.

Meanwhile, it will get hot, cold..thete will be new records as we have only recorded weather the last hundred or so yrs and people will freak. And we will live, have kids and die and nothing much will really change. We aint killing the earth. It and life has evolved billions of yrs and will continueto.

It's 5th grade level science, so I suppose it might be considered elementary to most folks. 5th grade was in the middle school when I went through Trussville.

So perhaps we are simply returning the earth to the way it was meant to be.

We couldn't survive on the earth of 100 mya.

And there is no "how earth is meant to be." Earth and the climate react to whatever forcings are acting upon it at the time. There are periods of equilibrium, some quite long, but there is no "how it's meant to be."

Ice is in a very steep decline overall. Not outside the realm of possibility we see an ice free Arctic summer in my lifetime.

Again, there used to be glaciers in Missouri. Global warming was real before fossil fuels were known to be wonderful.

The question isn't of the earth but of humans. Think about what just a couple of feet of sea rose would mean for the billions in SE Asia and beyond.

Do realize I don't think we can cap carbon emissions to mitigate the problem. Politics and economics make it impossible.

Water covered the face of the planet once before. The problem is...humankind does not exist by way of the survival of the fittest anymore. It overpopulated and the weak are a drain. Im of the same opinion of the shape of this country in that it has gone past the point of return and it needs a good burn, so that it can be rebuilt from the ashes. Let it flood. Let it drought. Let the wars commence

These are the people that have been brainwashed by the false info released Exxon and the other oil companies. If they don't believe 97% of scientist on the issue then there is nothing you or anybody else on here can change their mind.
