The government wants a global warming diagnosis but the energy companies don't?

This is why we can't have an intelligent debate in this country about anything. Sure 97% believe man has some kind of impact on the climate - well no shite, so do butterflies.

The fact remains that real, provable science shows that there were once glaciers in Missouri - it is irrefutable. What is also irrefutable is that those glaciers have receded thousands of miles to the north. This all happened without the assistance of man's contribution to the CO2 levels.

It's funny how this is really only a partisan issue here in the United States. In the rest of the democratic world even their respective conservative parties are on board with the majority in regard to GW/CC. It's only American conservatives who think that this is a giant conspiracy.

Right? Our proclivity for crying "conspiracy!" is the oddest bit of Americana. Sort of like how Norman Rockwell would imagine the American people were he on meth or something.

It's very real, we just don't have any significant impact on it.

Hard to believe that all the mega tons of shite that's poured into the atmosphere every day has no effect whatsoever on the climate. That just defies common sense.

This is why we're so polarized. You only see one half. Corporate lobbying is definitely a huge problem but far from center ideologies are also a huge problem. The far left wants the government to completely control your life and that requires a lot of money. The far right wants less regulation and oversight allowing people to grow wealth but also allowing more non-political corruption. Both sides will do any and everything to get what they want. The solution for American citizens is in the center but neither party will back a "compromise" candidate.

I'd say it's more with the republicans or moderate democrats. Bernie sanders is about as far left as there is and I can guarantee you he isn't corporate bought

Yes, seems to me those doing the States or whoever is suing would have to prove it exists and that man can alter it one way or the other before the suit could go forward.

The hoax is being perpetrated by governments who want to control the people and their money and so-called scientists who have manipulated the data and used fake figures to put forth a hypothetical scenario. It hasn't even been proved the earth is warming.

Exactly what is the right temperature for the earth?
.....crickets........no one knows.

They just have to prove they lied to investors about it. In the 80s Exxon did a study and claimed it was real and man made. 5 years later they change their stance. Might not be as hard as we imagine

Perhaps they had better information and saw the manipulation after the first statement.

The southern icecap is growing, the northern icecap is shrinking, we can take our pick. Problem solved.

Ice is in a very steep decline overall. Not outside the realm of possibility we see an ice free Arctic summer in my lifetime.

No.
Although the amount of southern sea ice is growing, but that's a small amount of ice compared to the southern icecap which is shrinking

If you support Bernie Sanders then you're supporting a communist. He's not corrupt and is completely upfront about his communist (he calls it socialism, but that's communism without a gun in your face) views. He's better than Hillary from an integrity standpoint, but the most distant left candidate we've ever had with a legit shot at the office.

I say all that with completely acknowledging that the right won't produce a decent candidate. Trump is a joke and Cruz/Rubio have too much Tea Party in them. Carson is probably the best of the bunch but he isn't willing to throw dirt and lower himself to the level necessary to win the nomination. We're completely screwed no matter who gets in unless you're a low life who plans on being taken care of by Washington.
