Scientists manipulate data to support the premise all the time unfortunately.

I mean, yes. Add energy to the system, get a new equilibrium.

That would fly if it was 3% of scientist, but 97% of scientist aren't going to manipulate data

We'll show our fitness by solving the problem.

We've made porous liquids that can in theory far more effectively capture CO2 from the air. Advances in solar cells allow for the ability to split water and possibly take that captured CO2 to make long chain hydrocarbons. Our fitness will be using our brains to keep from killing ourselves.

You need an alter to "science" for all your worship.

I've had the opportunity to speak at length with scientists who don't have an axe to grind and they acknowledge that man's contributions to climate change are likely minimal. Good luck getting financial support for that conclusion.

Science is god's greatest gift to us, besides Jesus... You are wrong tho, it's to bad those "scientist" you are speaking of were able to miss lead you

They will decide in 50 yrs not allowing sunlight to reach the ground because of solar panels, is sterilizing the ground and the cause of all life dying. There is always a trade off. Always.

You are exaggerating what those 97% believe. Of course all scientists believe man contributes to climate. To what extent is the big question.

By 97% of scientists, he's probably referring to the Cook et al analysis of published research concerning climate. Your "scientist" friends probably aren't climatologists and are flat wrong. The consensus isn't a coercive agent.

How expansive do you imagine these solar farms to be in order to block out the sun?

They are friends having open discussion with zero motive to mislead. I'll trust the opinion of an unbiased physicist before those with political and financial motivations. As Mark Twain said, "You tell me where a man gets his corn pone, and I'll tell you what his opinion is."

From what I have seen of climatology it is about as solid a science as political science or sociology.
