I'm pretty sure I was at an old job when I was passed over for a promotion that went to a black girl, even though I had the better credentials. It didn't really bother me though because I really liked her and was happy for her, and deep down I didn't really want the new position. On second thought, maybe they sensed I didn't really want it. I don't know.
