I freely admit I'm racist at times in my life. I also freely admit that I am probably more tolerant than most around here (where I live)
But it cracks me up to hear people say they've never been racist or thought a racist thought. They're liars.

I don't think I have, honestly. At least not one that wasn't made or thought in pure jest.
Maybe that was because of being a military brat with parents that didn't stand for that kind of foolery, but I just never had time for that shite. Racist kids didn't make friends moving from place to place all over the country
Doesn't make me better than anyone else, though. Just fortunate.

I'm not racist. I have racial thoughts and ideas, but not racist. I believe you can stereotype and not be racist.

Yes. I already said I say things in jest occasionally. I also joke about my own dang self and ethnicity. As far as humor goes, that's fair game IMO.
The racism comes if and when the joker and/or jokee begin to believe the stereotype to be an overarching fact and allow it to color their everyday perceptions of people.
Being able to make and take a joke (within reason) isn't racism.

Do you make your judgement by the color of a persons skin? If so, that is racism. People take racism as just a hatred but any negative or positive thought based off skin color is such. Stereotypes reinforce the racism.
I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel or say everyone is bad etc. just pointing out the fallacy of people's statements when you put in purest form. No context or whatever just pure thought or actions alone.
