Yup, Would be awesome to stick it out on 280 on a huge bluff so you hit the balls out into a valley.

I used to work at a place on shades crest road in bluff park and on slow days we used to go behind the building and hit balls off the bluff. You could see the Oxmoor Valley golf course at the bottom. It was fun.

Where in Cahaba Heights?

I think if put a Top Golf in Homewood where 280 hits 31. I'd then sit back and count my money all the live long day

How many acres does a top golf need? Parking included? Plenty of old lots and buildings in Avondale area. I could see this as a great idea.

However, facing West toward downtown would put the sun in your face in the evening. Do Top Golfs face West in other cities?

I moved back from Tuscaloosa after graduation in 2010. As someone who grew up in Hoover the amount of improvements in just these 5 years have been huge. The city is booming. I loved it so much I bought a house in 5pts South a couple of years ago. Once we get that chiplote open on 20th and get uber my quality of life will skyrocket

I think with Mobile bringing in Uber, the city of Birmingham will no more excuses. Yellow cab fricking blows.

If fricking Montgomery gets Uber before Birmingham, City Hall needs to burn to the ground.

No, it's not. Jackson is a lost cause. It's best days are long gone.

That is the problem. How they still manage to be in operation and have an influence over city hall is astonishing.

You can thank Kim Rafferty

LINK

quote:

The city's 178 taxis service 1.1 million people in the Birmingham metropolitan area.

In 2013, there were 645 cabs servicing the Nashville metropolitan area, which has a population of 1.5 million, according to the 2010 census. The

Jackson, Mississippi, metropolitan area - considerably less populated than Birmingham's metro area at just 539,000 people in 2010 - has about 150 cabs servicing the city as of January of 2015.

Of course she blames the state, not herself...
quote:

"The state of Alabama has been short-sighted in growing public transportation, so options are limited," Rafferty said.

Food wise, Birmingham is outstanding. Pound for pound, Birmingham has as good of a restaurant scene as almost any other city in the county.

True statement. Bham>>>>>Nashville as far as food.

Birmingham is too dainty. Like a big, stale cupcake. Despite our reputation, Mississippi is FAR cooler than Alabama.

Mississippi has some cool small towns and the casinos have a good bit to offer if gambling is your thing but other than that Alabama despite being "stale" offers significantly more than Mississippi. It's a mush prettier state with actual mountains and a much better beach and has a reasonably large city (Birmingham) that offers amenities that no city in Mississippi can match.
