Whoever picks Obama as best is trolling or a complete idiot. And yes, I'll debate the shite outta that.
Best? I think there were some good presidents. Clinton, Reagan, Nixon all had good and bad qualities. But the worst is pretty clear and he's in the White House now. Look no further than the divisiveness he has created. But I could go further if you like.

Don't be too quick to judge this statement....any future Prez that doesn't totally frick things up will be deemed great.......he did reset the bar to the ground floor

I didn't know Nixon started the "war on drugs"
I think he even coined the phrase, also declaring it public enemy number 1. He also started the DEA although there was a smaller agency that did the same thing before.

IMO the 24 hour news channels have taken the divisiveness to new levels. With so much air time devoted to hyperbolic rantings by wingers on both sides.

Obama has capitalized on the current divisiveness, but if you think he created it you're the complete idiot.
He is by no means the best, but he is not the worst either. He at least has given us some evident positive moves while searching for a positive from the W years would take a search party.

I don't see many positives moves from obama, I guess you could saw a some what withdrawal from iraq but that is more timing than anything he actually did

Yep the divisiveness started in the 90's when Clinton was president, and Rush Limbaugh came on the scene, and later Faox News hit the airwaves. 9/11 gave a brief period of cohesiveness, but that all went out the window during Bush's second term and just got worse when a black man with a funny name was elected.

24 hour news cycle does make things appear way worse than they are but we still have had a pretty shitty run of presidents lately and outside of rand being elected i don't see that stopping anytime soon.

Yes. Rand Paul would bring us all together.

Repealing the stupidity that is "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", passing health care reform (not perfect, but something desperately needed), in addition to withdrawal from Iraq he's started the draw down in Afghanistan as well, turned a spiraling economy around, brought some regulation back to wall street (not enough, by a long shot, but better than the free reign they had), credit card and banking reform, improved relations with foreign powers, increased support for veterans and tightened sanctions on Iran. For instance?

So this thread is nothing but trolls huh?

The echo chambers have driven each base's hard on for philosophical purity. Thus you have to be hard line to get elected and stay that way. There's no room for actual debate, all that matters is victory.
It's a large factor of the struggles of the last two POTUSs imo.
Best: Nixon
Worst: Carter
